technically you are supposed to dispose of them in a sharps container however i doubt most people do. Just stick them in something then throw em in the trash. and if you live in a rough area break the needle so junkies cant use em lol

No no no! Please dont dispose of your needles in the trash. I work in the medical profession and I cringe thinking about people just throwing needles in the trash. It's biohazardous waste. You dont know where that shit'll end up. Imagine if every body threw them away willy-nilly. You're grown up enough to use needles, be a grown up disposing of them. Do your part.

Think about the garbage man handling your trash. It the sheath came off a pin.. ouch! Now hes got to go to a doctor cause he doesn't know where that needle has been. His life is probably ruined for a few weeks waiting to see if hes got some infectious disease which he probably DOES have from garbage slurry on the end of the needle.

Call a local pharmacy and ask if they have sharps container for free. Also ask if they dispose of full containers as well. When you find one that does (you will) use it. Full containers are incinerated like they should be.

Maybe you'll find a store that will sell you the pins you require no questions asked, give you a sharps container, and disposes of it when you're done. Mine does

There classified as medical waste and have special areas for getting rid of them.
Pending what country you live in there are a number of ways, some countries (seen in Australia) have special bins located in areas like train stations etc (their mainly used to stop junkies from leaving them all over the place). other places you can take them to a medical clinic, hospital etc.
Not sure in the states. Ask one of the medical clinics if you can get rid of them there, most are ok with it as no one wants needles all over the place.
What i do is when the cycle is finished is dispose of them all in a sealed pin proof container and take them to a clinic (luckly no problems for me where i am)
If you have to just throw them away, at least break them and put them in a sealed pin proof container.
Just think about some kids getting there hands on them,,, and throw away safely

DEFINITELY find yourself a sharps disposal container.

Go to your nearest 'needle exchange' for drug addicts. They will happily give you a plastic safe container that is designed specifically for the disposal of needles. Theyll give you new needles and will dispose of the full plastic container too.

Buy a sharps container and put the used syringes/needles in there. Anything that could be infectious.

Call your local health department and they can give you the info for a proper disposal location for the sharps containers.

Most (if not all states) will have this information and will take care of it no questions asked.

There are always a couple of clowns (I'm seeing two so far) that have to post something totally retarded about a playground/school/etc.

i keep all my trash in a big ol protein jug then find a dumpter to dump it in, no pins are comming through a thick plastic jug unless its been crushed and then no person is going to be messing with it after that point...

if i could get a sharps container and someone dispose of it i would but in my small town im not letting anyone see me walk up with a red needle box to give back lol

This is the problem. You've seen dumptrucks right? You understand they CRUSH the garbage that is put in them right? Well believe me, I've been to the dump and there are employees that walk on top of the compacted trash. Potential needle sticks. So the whole argument of "no pins are coming through a thick plastic jug" fails.

Some towns have a recycle program where they hire inmates from the jail to sort through trash and pick out aluminum cans. Sucky job I know. They probably get heavy duty gloves as well for protection but what if just once.....

You don't want to be seen with a Red Sharps container? There is a new invention maybe you've heard of. It's a bag made of the pulp of dead trees. They call them paper bags. I hear you can even get them at the grocery store.

It's not F'ing hard guys! To all of you that are capable of this simple task mad props. To everyone else. Well... I dunno how bout

i have to take mine to the dump where i live there is no pick up so you dont have to worry about the trash man getting poked but i still put them in something they wont poke out of and then put them in the trash

Or just put the damn top back on them before you toss them in the trash. Christ you dont think a garbage man knows that he is going to be picking up potentially hazardous material when he goes to work?

Yes I'm sure a potential needle tip is without question the most unimaginably bad thing that could be discovered in the average persons trash. Give me a f*cking break.

This is exactly whats wrong with our society, people worrying and trying to solve the most idiotic problems that are never going to be solved.

You know what you're right. It's stupid and idiotic to be considerate of other people. You changed my mind. From now on I'm going to throw garbage out my windows of my car and my house. Im gonna spit my gum on the sidewalk from now on too. Why have I been wasting my time all these years thinking that a better world starts with a single person and their actions.

    lol

My point is, do you really think a potential needle tip is the worst thing that goes into peoples trash on a daily basis? What about leaky batteries, toilet bowl waste, human waste, bloody clothes, sharp metal objects, broken glass, fluorescent remnants of light bulbs, electrical wiring, splinters from wood, poisonous spiders, thats just the first few things I could think about in a 60 second span!

Do I really need to go on anymore? Put the cap back on the needle and throw it in the trash!

Otherwise, you are a devil with no consideration for other people, the planet, or humans in general!

    lol, give me a break

Its human beings F*cking trash! Who really thinks that any of it is safe or sanitary to go around!?

leaky batteries, toilet bowl waste, human waste, bloody clothes don't pierce the skin 1" to 1.5"

sharp metal objects, electrical wiring, splinters from wood. Not in my trash. That's called construction waste and it handled differently from the run of the mill garbage like egg shells and milk cartons.

Fluorescent remnants of light bulbs will cut you if large enough no doubt but that just doesn't register as dangerous to me. Especially if they've been compacted to dust.

Damn those poisonous spiders. Every day I'm shooing them out of my garbage! Why wont they just got back in the woods where they belong!

My point is there is an free program paid for by your taxes set up for disposing of syringes. Is it that hard to do whats proper with them?

Sorry I was feeling nauseous earlier because I drank my noexplode on an empty stomach and was very irritable. Its probably best to safely dispose of used syringes, but I don't. Also any program like that which is funded by taxpayer money just makes me feel, well...

Also if you inhale the dust from fluorescent light bulbs the microscopic shards can shred your lungs, so ive been told. anyways, i apologize for my earlier foul mood.
