I think I got an infection.

This is my first time shooting up ever. I shot 500mg of test D into my glutes. Everything was fine right after, but the next day the injection site hurt like hell and it still does, its a little swollen and red. The muscle is rock hard and it hurts to walk a little bit. Any suggestions?

-did you aspirate?
-did you clean the area and top of vial with alcohol?
-How long did it take to inject?

I haven't been on this forum too long, but it seems like A LOT of people are getting infections lately. You infection guys should PM each other and see if you have the same sources.

Welcome to AS. It should get better for you. Try messaging the area after injection some to help disperse it a little. Heat the shot up some, and also try a heating pad when you get those knots. Good luck. I doubt there is anything to be alarmed about but keep an eye on it. Look for fever in the area and spreading redness and swelling.

You may have injected too quickyl but that usually usually just makes it a bit more sore. 21G is a bit big, 23G-25G would have been better but still not the cause. So its hot to the touch?

If you never injected before, your muscle isn't used to it, and chances are you were nervous and moved the needle more than you should have, so you will be sore for a few days

keep an eye on it, if it gets worse, then go get checked, but it should get better

Once in awhile ill have an injection that will swell and hurt alot but goes away after a few days.

You need to get a smaller needle bro, no gear is too thick to where you have to use a 21G needle. I use 23G or 25G and mine goes through fine. The only time where you would wanna use a 21 G if you were injecting something like test susp which is known to be hard to draw out. But its probably your muscle just bruised a lil bit from the injection thats all. Happens to everyone.

You said test D. I will assume you meant test E. If this was your first injection ever, why did you inject 500mg at once. You should split up your shots on first cycle. 1ml twice a week. Your glute is probubally just a little irritated from 2ml all at once for your first shot ever.
