    my test levels,etc

I did a cycle about 3 months ago,

My doc called and said my creatinine was high, so I need to piss in a jug for 24 hours and get blood work.

In addition to that, my my test levels are at 211 and he said that normal is about 245.

As far as my creatinine levels, what will make it go to normal.

    My last cycle was

    test e 500 a week for 12 weeks
    deca 550 a week for 10 weeks

I'm not a doctor but I doubt your creatinine levels are related to your steroid use.
Deca will shut you down for a long time. It makes sense that your test would still be low after 3 months.

What did you use for your pct? and like coop said Deca does shut you down pretty hard. Did you try pcg?

My doc said that my creatinine levels could be high because of the amount of muscle I have. He knows I'm on aas, so he always helps me out.

He did tell me that the deca would be a bit harder and would take a bit more time for my test come come fully back.

So what are some things i can do for my creatinine levels.

This happend after this previous cycle, all other cycles when I get blood work, all is ok, but this one, my doc just said as I've stated

I just pissed in a tub for 24hours and waiting for monday to take it in and get more labs.

What are some things I can expect my doc to say about my high levels? ans what are some other things he might have me do to restore the levels to normal

true, the more muscle mass you have, the higher the creatine levels . Also, when you ingest large amounts of beef or other meats that have high levels of creatine in them that raises the levels.. maybe look at your diet

Thanks bro!, that is something I was waiting to hear, That is what my doc had said. First he said, well, your levels are bit high so get off the CREATINE so we can see what's up with the levels. Then I said, doc, I'm not on creatine; so I asked what could cause this, he said many things, but for someone as healthy as me, probably my muscle mass.

I can't think of any real negative side effects

well they say it can cause water retention and a temper i mean ur even surpose to rest a few weeks off when on it so lowering ur levels for a few months at a time could give u alittle rest!

More muscles = more creatine = more creatinine.

Nothink to worry about. And what is high? +20% above higher limits? If yes, dont worry its normal

DO YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS? Water retention, periocular edema or perimaleolar edema, fatigue, low appetite, poor performance etc.? If NO, you are fine.

Never heard of creatine affecting temper, water retention is the only 'side effect' it causes that I know of.

Creatinine is NOT toxic or harmful, it is just used as a less than adequate marker of health.

Medicine LOVES to use the Plasma Creatinine as a measure of Kidney function.

It is NOT a good measue even though Doctors stick to it without evaluating individual circumstances.

In short, metabolism of muscle tissue, which occurs dailiy as part of the cycle of protein tunover, releases creatinine into plasma which then gets filtered and excreted by the kidneys. More mass, larger turnover and creatinine levels.

Additional consumption of high protein diet can allso contribute to the levels.

Dehydration is also important. The same amount of Plasma Creatinine in a larger volume of blood plasma has a much lower concentration or creatinine than a very hydrated person as well.

Now, Kidney/Damage/Failure (due to drugs or disease) and filtration rate ALSO affects how much creatinine is filtered out, thus, this is the only concern in the testing which laughably avoids looking at all the areas above before making such determination.

The whole Plasma Creatinine test can be compared to a "toll booth" on a highway. The toill booth being the kidneys.

The Toll booth runs efficiently passing a maximum of 10 cars per minute. The total cars (creatinine) on the road is not necesarily the fault of the toll booth being less efficient.
Rush hour traffic or accidents will put more cars onto the roads EVEN though the toll booth is still passing 10 cars a minute.

The better testing is to see how much creatinine the kidneys filter out into the urine. A 24 hour catch of urine can show whether the kidneys filtered adequate levels in the 24 hour time frame. If maximal levels of creatinine are in the urine, then it is quite eveidedn that the kidney were working at "top speed" and the creatinine levels are caused by one of the other proposed reasons.

It's still good to pursue the real cause, just premature to go yelling Kidney Failure before all the data is in (some Doctors do that. They will see higher plasma Creatinine and say you kave kidney failure, lol)

Also a Creatinine to BUN ration can help make a better decision.

So because he caught my urine for 24hours and took more blood work, if it still comes up high, what next? he knows I cycle,

So could this be high because my mucle mass is higher even though Ive been off a cycle for 3months

You'll have to wait for the tests. The filtration rate will be the best determining factor.

It's not all about the muscle mass or your cycle

Its about the rate of muscle breakdown that releases creatinine into the bloodstream. Obviously the more muscle you teardown with intense workouts causes a great rise.

If you were to get a Creatinine test in the "window" right after an intense workout, your doctor would flip out at the levels...

Many times before doing a plasma creatinine test ppl do the following to have their levels as low as possible:

    1) you will be asked to refrain from weightlifting (muscle teardown) within 36 hrs of your blood draw.

    2) Drink LOTS of water, all the way through till your test.

    3) Fast at least 12 hrs before the test

Personally I do not like these ideas because they can skew your creatinine levels in the opposite direction, making them appear lower than what they would be under normal circumstances. And that is also a point: What are "normal" ciscumstances. A sedentary vegan will have a differnt profile than a meat eating bodybuilder.

Just see what the 24hr catch/glomerular filtration rate (GFR) tests come back with...
