    fat guys using AAS

hey everyone. i need some help finding some scientific info/articles as to why overweight men shouldnt use AAS. i told a buddy of mine he shouldnt and because he gets blasted on the boards for wanting to use and cant find any articles other than opinion style critiques. hes under the impression the gear is only for "the pretty people to get prettier" and not help a fatty improve himself.

to his credit he's been in the gym like an animal for the last 2 years, his type 2 diabetes is almost gone (thru eating habit and lifting) and isnt wanting to do a hardcore stack say like a dbol kickstart while doing tren and lots of test with a PCT. just a simple test enth or cyp cycle not exceeding 700 mg a week with ancilleraries and PCT of course.

plz help me out so i can make sure my boys keeps on this good path and not possible mess up his progress. and plz hook me up with some documentation and/or reputable articles.

oh he's 30yo, 6'3 350lb and his blood pressure was 128/68 about a month ago when he had a physical done.

Common sense alone should be enough for him to realise that diet and cardio are by far better than any steroid.

IMO its more of the fact that if you are very overweight then it shows that you dont have the dedication to work out properly and diet correctly. it can cause some health problems. steroids are not going to burn his fat. he is going to actually gain weight. and for someone who is already 350 pounds its just not smart.

I had surgery on my neck and had 5 titanium plates put in 5 different vertebrate and kept up with my injections and gained 40 freaking pounds and wasn't eating shit. Took me forever to get that weight off. If I could go back I would have done a strict pct and waited until I could lift again. That's just me.

Steroids are not for your obese friend. What would they accomplish that a good diet and exercise program wouldn't? He wants to lose weight and be healthy right?

YAH WELL I AM 20% BF AND ON CYCLE RIGHT NOW... STARTED AT 23%... GAINED 12 LBS. SOOOOO.... MORAL OF THE STORY... ITS NOT WISE TO USE AAS WHEN YOU HAVE FAT BUT !!! IT WONT KILL YA IF YOU HAVE A STRICT DIET AND KNOW HOW TO TRAIN AND STUFF... I ALWAYS STICK MY TWO PENNIES IN ON THIS KINDA STUFF... MOSTLY BECAUSE I AM AN IDIOT AND SHOULDA WAITED TO START MY CYCLE BUT I DIDNT SO OH WELL... I DO WHAT I WANT !!! LOL... POINT IS... THIS IS MY 8TH CYCLE.... I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING... I MONITOR MY BLOOD PRESSURE... HAVE EVERYTHING CHECKED BY A DOC.... FOLLOW A DAMN NEAR STRICT AS HELL DIET...

SO NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOUR "FRIEND" START HIS CYCLE UNTIL HE IS WELL UNDER 300 Lbs. ... JMHO.... He should learn how to diet before he even thinks of sticking a needle in him... BUT IN THE END... WE ALL DO WHAT WE WANT... IF HE IS GOING TO DO IT NO MATTER WHAT... TELL HIM TO GO TO THE DOC REGULARLY TO BE MONITORED SO HIS BP DON'T SKYROCKET.... AND A HOST OF OTHER PROBLEMS....

Agreed, I was figuring there would be more responses on the estrogen issues with him being so fat. Estrogen related sides are a lot more exposed in users with more body fat. It makes no sense unless he is going for an even more bloated look with puffier nips than I'm sure he already has.

    Um...cuz steroids cause weight gain...

i mean...juice causes a favorable environment for fat lose...but everyone is right...if he isn't dedicated enough to be sub 15% in the first place...all he will do is eat like hell and likely give into his cravings...and due to his pre existing lack of dicipline not cardio/lift like he should ultimately resulting in MORE FAT!!!

    Fat, water, muscle specifically?
If it's a 350lb guy (or anyone for that matter) one could assume e2 issues, BP issues, bloating, eating more or muscle size/weight gain.

Why specifically do steroids cause weight gain?

I see your edited post. Thanks.

"6'3 350lb and his blood pressure was 128/68 about a month ago"

That is pretty amazing in itself.. I don't know anyone over 300lb that isn't hitting at least 150/90..

I would think that he could shed a lot with the right diet.... Get him on some high clean protein and watch it peel off when he hits the gym.. He could keto about 75lb in about 2 months alone, then amp up his diet for muscle growth..
