Red meat right before bed... bad or ok?

It's almost 2am and I am eating a 4oz of beef tenderloin along with some almonds and cooked spinach before hitting the hay. This has been my last meal over these past few days. I figure the slow rate of digestion for beef will provide a steady release of aminos throughout the night....

However I've also heard that eating steak right before bed is a bad idea because of the toll the body takes in trying to digest and process the meat overnight which makes it harder to achieve a deeper sleep?

I don't know if there's any relevance to this. What do you think; steak right before bed good or bad?

you figured right, except add fiberous veggies to that meal.. i like to do brocolli with my london broil, and i eat 1/2lb pretty much every night before bed... the pro's outweigh the con's

you could even go more fiberous then that.. if it's too much, try a good fiber sup like fiber choice right before bed (you'll wake up in the morning and play god to a mountain of shit)
