i think there is a huge difference between country people and black people, or if you say cripples too, if only for the fact that they can't change it. a country person can go off to college, become successful, and turn into a snob. but a black person can't make so much money he turns white, or become so smart he is white. a cripple won't be able to regain his limbs from anything.

As a great musician (Alan Jackson) once sang, "It's alright to be a redneck". I think it's ok to make redneck jokes because for one, as someone mentioned earlier, 99% of them are white. Another reason it's ok is because most rednecks I know (myself included) don't really care.

Here's my top reasons I love being a redneck and from a redneck town:
1-I can park my car in my yard and leave my keys in it without worrying about it being stolen.
2-I can park my car anywhere in my town with the windows down and keys in the ignition and not worry about it getting stolen. We all know who's house it'll be at if its not where I left it.
3-There's never a shortage of people who want to sit around and drink a few beers.
4-If I want to fish, I'll just walk outside in my backyard and fish.
5-I grew up learning to use my imagination. Have you ever raced a lawnmower?
6-I can grill and cook better than 99% of people I know.
7-By the time I was 12 I was a sharpshooter.
8-Being rich means having a trampoline. Being super-rich means having a hot tub.
9-A good night involves hooking up with a hot girl in town. A great night involves getting retarded-drunk with your friends and racing lawnmowers
10-The barkeep knows your name, your drink, and how much you have on your tab


This took me awhile. Basically, I just wanted to express that even though I live in a city right now (college), I'm proud of where I grew up and have no doubt I will be back. Make fun of me all you want, it's alright to be a redneck!

To answer your question, I am not sure it is different. However, that being said, we rednecks have a much thicker skin and have not been targeted by masses because of our heritgage, our culture, or our sexual orientation.

This subject ahs been one of the most successful retail comedy ventures in the history of the world. It should be ok here.

If then your comments, sir, in regards to my intentions are that I would like to ad some humor to the board you are correct. If on the other hand you are implying that I mean to pick on white men, you would be only partially right. See Ia m a proud white man and these jokes have been the source of great humor to me. I am much too secure in my skin to be tilted by this type of humor.
