Totally screwed myself up. Help appreciated.

    Hi all,

I am a beginner at dieting in every way and I believe I may have screwed myself up and I am hoping you fine people who give wonderful advice can assist me in correcting the issue. About a year ago, a friend of mine was trying to help me cut weight and get in shape for my wedding. He gave me Winstrol and Tren to try and cut (which should work with a decent diet). Despite eating clean and using these products I was unable to lose weight. I later found that I had a severe thyroid condition and my doctor prescribed medication to correct this issue. (I believe this is why the drugs did not have a drastic effect on me, but I could be completely wrong.) Currently, I am still overweight and my physician prescribed me Phentermine to try and lose weight. I believe it curbs your appetite and so I am able to eat small amounts of food and feel full fairly easily. This, however, is not having any effect.

    Here are my stats:
    33 Years Old
    6 feet tall (72 inches)
    265 Pounds
    30% body fat
    My BMR:
    66+1650+914.4-224=2406

Activity Number: I work a desk job but lift 5 days a week and do cardio 3 days a week, so I am assuming I am moderately active?: 3729

I go to the gym 5 days a week. I do one body part a day except for Fridays where I do Tri's and Bi's in the same day. I also do 30 minutes of cardio following my work outs. My cardio ranges from running, elliptical, swimming, treadmills or what not. I keep my heart rate at around 130 bpm consistently. I have high cholesterol so I stay away from fried foods and whole eggs and only eat egg whites.

The Phentermine made my hunger go away so my diet (as you will see below) was probably far below the daily requirements for someone my size, and I think the drastic reduction in calories destroyed my metabolism. Here is my daily diet to a T. I do not veer away from this in any way, despite the fact that it is a terrible diet. I say this only because I am not a person who has a diet through the week and totally eats themselves into a coma on the weekends. With my prescription, I can effectively eat as little as I want, so hunger pains are not an issue for me, but I believe I need much more calories. The question I am having is, why the hell am I not losing weight with this daily intake? And also, dear friends, what should I be doing to correct this issue?

    Here are my macros:
    Calories Fat Carbs Protein
    Breakfast
    Muscle Milk 240 11 12 22
    Banana 121 0 31 1

    1st Break
    Propel 20 0 4 0
    Apple 95 0 25 0
    Cottage Cheese (1cup) 80 0 5 15

    Lunch
    Salmon 272 12 0 41
    Veggies 30 0 5 1
    Propel 20 0 4 0

    2nd Break
    Egg Whites (8) 128 0 0 32
    Plain Water
**I work out 2 hours after the 2nd Break**

    Protein Shake 240 4 6 46

    PWO
    Tuna 200 4 2 44
    Mayonnaise 100 3 12 0

    PPWO
    Skim Milk (2 cups) 274 0 38 28
    Chicken (1 breast) 150 5 0 27
    Veggies 30 0 5 1

    Totals: 2000 39 149 258

Any assistance you can provide is very much appreciated. I want to drop the fat, and try to become as large (muscle wise) as possible without being overly heavy. I have access to Anabolics but I don't think I should consider any of those types of things until my diet is under control and I am in charge of my weight gains and weight losses. Thank you for your time and help.

glad you come to the right place. lets start out by saying welcome and you do NOT need ANY steroids until you are even under HALF of your body fat! with that being said a solid diet/training regime will work for you. Ronnie Rowland has great threads on his slingshot carb cycling/ketosis which may be a fit for you (definately read his threads), i will also send you some other ones to bump up your knowledge.. btw winnie promotes lean muscle mass its not a cutting agent... here are some links

first-go to the 3rd sticky and watch all of those dvd videos posted.

    here are links as well

after all of those links and dvd vids and ronnies system, come back and we will be more than happy (with the knowledge you have obtained) to get started

welcome to the diet forum... we're glad to have you and happy you've made a decision to change your lifestyle..

let me begin by letting you know that not soo long ago your stats and mine were very similar..

    i was 6'4 310lbs at 30%, at my worst i was 325lbs at 35%...

im currently 275lbs at 17% (estimate, gonna get dipped again)...

your goals arn't as far as you think..

but first and foremost.. i think your bmr calculations are incorrect because the formula you used is a formula more suited for those with low bfs...

BMR (men and women) = 370 + (21.6 X lean mass in kg)

seeing as how your 270lbs at 30% ur lbm would be 189lbs... 189/2.2=86kg

    370 + (21.6 x 86= 1857.6) = 2227.6.. that's your bmr...

Hey guys. Quick question. I am a little concerned because I am doing my macros right now, and today when I was out grocery shopping I bought a Taylor home weight scale and body fat calculator. The weight scale said I was 266 pounds and 40% body fat, not 30%. The 30% came from one of those body fat analyzers the trainers use at my gym where you plug in all of your numbers and hold on to the handles and it reads your body fat percentage. Mine said 30% at the gym, but 40% at home. That would change everything as a 10% discrepancy is huge. Which do you think is more accurate? Thank you!

electornic scales suck! beest way is to get dipped never go by the scale. ONLY USE SCALE AS A MEASURING METHOD AT BEST.
