Thread: I think my bulking diet is working a little too well.

I think my bulking diet is working a little too well.

All my life I've been a "hard gainer"..

most I've ever weighed was 161lbs (at 6foot tall!)

I'm now 188lbs - but I'm starting to put on some noticeable fat. I was *very* lean before but now I can see fat in my chest/stomach area.

My diet is not exactly the same everyday but it's something like this: (I travel for work so it's hard to keep it 100% consistent).

Meal 1: Oatmeal (instant, I know - not the best) 2 packs with milk
    6 egg whites
    Orange juice

Meal 2: Monster Mass shake (680cals 48g protein) with water

Meal 3: Lunch - depends but I always go for some sort of chicken/beef/rice combo - or a large sandwich (roast beef etc)

Meal 4: Snack (usually something light like 1 can of tuna)

meal 5: Again - chicken/beef with rice or something along these lines.
    OR Pasta with grilled chicken

Meal 6: Monster mass shake again before bed

Maybe it's time to switch it up? Or do some cardio/abs? I don't do any cardio/abs at all - maybe this is my problem?

I'm afraid I'll lose weight if I do any cardio - and for once to actually gain weight and look 'healthy' feels great but now I'm concerned I might take it too far and get a little too fat.

BTW I'm at about 14-15% body fat, I'd like to get down to 10-12%

    Any advice is appreciated.

If you wanna drop your bf, you should start a good cutting. You'll loose weigth, but you'll look bigger because you're ripped.
A monster mass shake before going to bed is not the best idea even in a bulking.
I would do abs also in a bulking. Doing abs doesn't drop your weigth nor makes you leaner. If you haven't done cardio up to now, it's good, but diet and cardio will be necessary in a cutting.

    Drop the monster mass shakes

Replace with real, whole, calorie dense food sources
