i know that if your prone to lose your hair it will happen either way, but my question is if you take roids and lose hair or it thins out, will it ever get back to normal if your not prone to lose it? (after the cycle )

That's a tough question to answer. Everyone is different. If you get regrowth, it will never be the same. You wont get 100% back. Depending on where you're with your hairloss, you may get none back. I strongly suggest Propecia. Why even take the chance? You can find it cheap online.
