Unhappy tingling sensation in tricep during extensions?

more than often now during tricep extensions i experience a very weird tingling sensation in my tricep along with a sort of numbing feeling that replaces the tingling, these weird sensations only last about a second or two and there is no pain at all during or after. it only occurs during the tri extension exercise
any ideas on what may be happening?

im worried because after doing some searching ive read this is what happens before a tricep tear

I used to get the same thing. The tingling went all the way from my tris up to my pinky finger. A trainer I know explained it is a nerve that runs the length of your forearm....

did the trainer say it is like a warning or anything to an injury possibly occuring?
because other than just feeling pretty odd it doesnt bother me much, tri extensions are a basic part of my training and i would hate to have to take it out

Does the tingling go down your arm at all.
Do your arms fall asleep at night when sleeping or in overhead positions?

nope, the tingling is only in my tricep area during the exercise. yeah on occasion my arm will fall asleep at night, i sleep with one arm under my pillow as this feels the most comfortable. could the pressure from my head on my arm all night be a contributing factor? i do switch arms throughout the night as well

There is a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome where some soft tissue structure or bony structure compresses the nerves and vasculature that run from the spine to the arms. (brachial Plexus) Sometimes those that workout can have muscle hypertrophy that causes a compression of said structures. It would be advisable for you to see a sports med doc or a chiropractor to check for this condition. Most of the time its more of an annoyance than anything. But let a qualified physician make that call...IMO
