    BCAAs????

So i bought a tub of "DYMATIZE" BCAA Complex 5050 the other day and im wondering when is the best time to take it????

It says take 1-3 teaspoons per day before food.

Now i weight train 4 days a week and ive been taking 1 teaspoon (5gm)
only on training days half hour before my workout.

Is this the correct time or should it be after training?? And am i taking enough as it is quite expensive and dont want to really be taking it on non training days if its not going to be any benifet to me.

You can also take BCAA's before fasted state cardio or right before pwo cardio.

I take all of mine before and after workouts on an empty stomach to help absorption.

On off days in between meals, whenever.

Intra workout is a good method.

It says take 1-3 teaspoons per day before food.
IMO, complete waste, you can get all the AAs you needs from foods. During workout no more than 10g.

Don't take on non training days, as stated above you get all you need from the foods you eat, if you're not then you diet is fvcked up bad.

A pharmacist who turned nutritionalist here in Holland sells me whey hydrolyzed. He says that whey hydrolyzed breaks down into amino acids faster than any other whey protein. It tastes a lit bitter though. I also get a 1:1:1 mix from his company of whey isolate/calcium caseinate/soy protein isolate...fast acting/middle long/very long.

He reckons BCAA's are a waste of money (though he does sell it 2:1:1) as you get all of them from your food and protein shakes. It's all without artificial flavours and sweetners. I like to switch the composition of my shakes depending on what I'm doing. Resistance training, cardio or just heavy physical labour. The 1:1:1 mix is perfect before going to bed as it will work through the night. I also buy individual protein powders from his company and he always answers my questions.

And believe me, a pharmacist specialized in nutrition knows.
