F'd up injection

Injected into left quad, put needle through and it hurt more than usual. Aspirated, nothing came out, slowly pulled needle and bam, blood and some oil started dripping down my leg. Looks like I went through a vein because that vein got really swollen for a minute, cleaned with alcohol and bandaided it. Do I need to reinject? does this happen often?

I have had blood shoot out with oil especially if I don't wait ten seconds. Not sure why you would have a swollen vein. Do you feel a rush or anything?

Rush? No, I got a little rush from the gel, but never from the injection

I use a 29g 1/2 inch and shoot in the thigh. No blood, no pain, no problems.

Same situation yesterday. Injected into quad. Aspirated. No blood so fired away. After taking needle out, blood squirts out then bleeds a little. It hurt but no rush and it was not the horrible mind blowing pain I've heard about.

So I guess my question is similar. If I did not just nick a vein but inject and put the Test into my vein, would I for sure no mistake about it know? And if I did what are the ramifications?

I've had blood follow my needle out on several times, I haven't really worried about it, as from what I understand if you inject a vein you'll know it fairly quickly and there will be no mistake about it.

I have hit a nerve a couple of times and its an odd sensation.

I always figured I just hit a surface capillary or something.

Go to the pharmacy spend 30 cents to try a 29g 1/2 inch slin syringe. It take a little bit to draw the test out but not too bad. Makes life a lot easier.

Read a few other recent posts where these guys are using 21g. Could you imagine how that one would feel?

I had a friend who bought two different size needles, 18g and 25g, well.. he wasn't paying attention and drew the oil with the 25g and shot with the 18g. OUCH!!!

The guy couldn't tell that it was taking 5 minutes to draw, then turns around and puts a jackhammer on the syringe. Now that's epic.
