    Does this sound legit?

So I was working with an anti aging clinic in FL for my HRT, and my sales rep ended up leaving to work for another lab, so I decided to stick with him. I just received my first order from his new company, and the meds came from a pharmacy that I didn't recognize. I looked up the pharmacy name online, and the only hits I got were about how the owner is now in prison for various steroid dealing related infractions. Obviously I don't want to say the name of the company, but I'm guessing that someone here can figure out the entity I'm talking about.
I guess I'm not really sure that the name that's written on the prescription labels and vials is even a pharmacy at all. I would think if it were an actual pharmacy, I'd be able to find it online, but instead, I only find links to the stories relating to the criminal activity.

I realize this sounds convoluted, but again, I don't want to say any names so it's tough to explain the situation in it's entirety. My main concern is that the meds are fake, but my gut feeling is that this is not the case. In the original legal case, this guy was getting docs to write prescriptions that were then filled by a legit compounding pharmacy. I'm just finding it a little worrisome that I'm getting my meds from a company with the exact name of the place that got busted.

I may be worried about nothing here, but does anyone have any advice as to what I can do other than simply talking to my sales rep? Thanks very much.

I'm not sure the purpose of the rep, but this seems to be how most of the anti aging clinics work (at least in my experience). The standard procedure is that you get bloodwork and a physical done locally, and then send that information to the clinic, who has a doctor look at it and then write a prescription. As far as I can tell, the rep is simply a middleman who jacks up the price on the meds, as you have to use the clinic's specific pharmacy. So the rep is making money off the cost of the meds, and nothing else. Personally I think it's a rip off, but as long as I'm confident that the pharmacy is legit, I don't mind paying the high prices.

Could be essentially homebrew and someone in the chain is slapping a label on it

I guess it could be but it seems like a very elaborate and well thought out plan if that were the case. Plus the sales guy I'm working with was legit when he was with the first company so I don't really have a good reason to doubt him personally. It's the company that actually sent the meds that I'm leery of.

If it's an actual perscription then you are receiving human grade gear..... you HAVE to.....

If by some chance they were scamming the system..... the FDA would hang them so fast and hard it's not even funny.

These clinics aren't all about HRT..... they prescribe "mini cycles" and they do rip you off money wise. The best way to go about hrt is to see an endocrinologist who hands you the script directly...... you take that to YOUR pharmacy......

I'm assuming the scripts are real. The bottles have a prescription number, my name and address, doctor name, expiration date, refill #, etc. I'm sure all of that can be faked though, I just don't know if any labs ever do that. I've never gotten meds from any sources that weren't prescribed and legit, so I don't know how much trouble people go through to make things look legit.

Interestingly, I told the rep I was taking 200 mg/week of test and 500 iu of HCG / week, and when the order was delivered it was dosed at 300 mg/week of test and 1000 iu of HCG/ week. I wonder if the doc ever even looked at my bloodwork, and if he did, he probably figured I could go higher and still be in the normal ranges, meaning I go through meds faster and have to place an order sooner.

well like the drugs from most anti aging clinics, its compounded, so it's not from a major manufacturer. And as I said in my original post, I'm not completely convinced that the name of the pharmacy on the bottle is actually a pharmacy at all. I tried to look them up on the web, and that's what took me to the stories about the owner getting busted. I could email you the name of the place if you want. I just don't want to post it here.
