Any drugs, herbs, or compounds that INCREASE your blood platelet levels?

    Hi guys, quick question here.

About almost a year ago, I went in for a blood test at the doctor. My blood platelet levels were found to be lower than average. The normal range for a human is between 145 - 400 and MY levels were 124. Not that much of a decrease, but it's still low and I don't like that. My doc told me that it is most likely due to the anabolic steroid use.

We know that anabolic steroids in general do decrease platelet levels in the blood (though some INCREASE it), and some do decrease it more than others (Turinabol is a good example of this, in which tbol has the side effect of destroying fibrin).

What can be done and/or taken to increase platelet levels in the blood following an anabolic steroid cycle?

Not sure, I've only heard of meds that decrease platelet activity. I don't think you have a great deal to worry about though honestly.

So..........did the doc have any science behind blaming the AAS use or was it just the eazy answer.

You know for the longest time the medical industry insisted that steroids have no performance enhancing abilities!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can't help with your question.

The doc didn't exactly say "you have low platelets because of your steroid use", he said "I don't know if it's because of the steroid use, but your platelet levels are lower than normal".

Like I said, CERTAIN anabolic steroids have been found to actually increase platelet levels (Anadrol 50 does this) and certain others have been found to decrease them (Turinabol). The only AAS i've used in the past have been: testosterone, masteron, and trenbolone. Could be any one of them responsible for it, or they all may have nothing to do with it at all.

I just want to know if there is anything I can take (besides A50 lol) that will increase platelet production in the body.

Vitamin K I believe is also a factor in clotting, so it might stimulate platelet production, or work by some other factor. Green leafy vegetables seem to be the best natural source.
