I have done 1 cycle, a var only cycle. I was obese and very pleased with the results. My main goal was fat loss, I had plateaued, if you will, at 250lbs. for around 6 months, after making dietary changes that brought me down there from 295lbs. I think my cycle was around 8 or so weeks and brought me to a low of 217, rounded out at 220lbs with some cardio and a spotty diet and only intermittent weight lifting. I decided to do the cycle after researching var and fat loss around the mid section for middle age guys. My cholesterol level was also extremely excellent (big risk for var is rising cholesterol) and low normal blood pressure (another risk of var). I wasn't worried about hair loss as that is not in my genes. Is the fat loss in the area's you speak of really hit by var at your age and with your bf%? I really have no idea, I was confident it would hit those area's in me but like I said I had a much higher bf% than you and was also older.
I was planning my 2nd cycle (test prop and var) but decided to run a 2nd var only cycle (my cholesterol readings are still all excellent and my blood pressure is even lower, as well as fat content, and both my eating and exercise/lifting are more consistent as well). I made this decision after doing some research into building tendon strength (var helps with this, as do some other steroids, test hurts this, at least short term on cycle according to some recent stuff I have read). One of my primary shorter term objectives is to develop much more strength in my hands and forearms and I do workouts that focus on tendon/ligaments in the hands and forearms in addition to forearm muscles, as well as overall body muscles.
The liver support is important, very important. Var isn't the worst thing for your liver I don't think, but it is still hepatoxic. No reason to cause damage to your liver, you only have one of them my friend.
Why only 6 week cycle? pills instead of powder?
Also, why only 2 doses per day rather than 3 or 4 evenly split up doses?
