Long time user/abuser needs help coming off and recovering

I work out with a friend who just turned 64yrs old. He's been doing Test/Deca for several years now. He usually takes 2-3 injections a week, 2-3 CCs per injections. I would guess this has gone on 8-10 years. He has taken nothing else over this time.

    He's about 5-8 208lbs

He also had some stents put in 4 or 5 years ago if that matters...

He's basically not getting any results any more. He was benching close to 400lbs 4-5 years ago and now can lift around 265 or so(as one example).

He's tried to come off before(4 weeks maybe) but when he did he crashed horribly. He lost a lot of weight, strength and became depressed etc.... It's basically like he's doing it now to keep from crashing and not for any results.

My question is what would be the best strategy to get clean and get where he could get results again? I guess his receptors are shot by long term use but is there a way to repair the situation?

Can someone lay out a plan that might help?

    Thanks for any advice

He should be in the hands of a doctor, in my opinion

If he's lower in bodyfat, I find those stats to be extremely impressive right there. Though I'm in agreement with Big on this one, a trained professional might be able to shed a little more light on what to do in his current situation.

He needs to see an Endo as soon as possible. He/she will advise a proper restart protocol.

I think you have come to the right place for help... But I am not the right person to answer this.

    your friend is an idiot.

at that age and that duration i would say there is a 0.0001% chance of recovering. TRT is the only way imo.

TRT is like getting a doctor to put you on test?

TRT is far from the end of the world, not a big deal I think he should be on it at his age anyway. Normal I see and hear from my doc is 200-250 mg of test Bi-weekly with about 100 mg of deca.
