Thread: Propecia and Cycle

    Propecia and Cycle

Been on Propecia for about 6 years now and it's done what it's supposed to do. However, looking to do a test cycle now and am a little worried about pushing its effectiveness to the limit. I know a lot of guys take it for simply preventive measures but in my case I think I'm playing with fire here. Anybody have any experiences like this good or bad?

not sure on your question, but was considering propecia as well. I assume you think it's worth it? Can you be on it for any cheaper then $70 a month? Where do you get it?

if you ABSOLUTELY want to avoid hair loss (especially since you are prone) ABSOLUTELY avoid AAS

I'm just saying it's working for me, but I'm worried about it's effectiveness on cycle....don't want to ruin a good thing. It's expensive but worth it in my opinion. I've heard about generics online but don't have any experience with them.

as others have said you might have to advoid it all together though you could check into Dutasteride.best of luck either way.

I never used Propecia, I went straight to Dutasteride. About 6 months later, I went on my first cycle, with 0.5mg/day Duta, and had mild hair loss. Personally, the hair I lost vs. what I gained, it was worth it - and trust me, I care about my hair.

I just came off my second cycle and did 2.5mg/day Duta and regrew hair...on cycle. Do a little research on Duta. The FDA dosage is 0.5 but they tested all the way to 5 or 10mg. 2.5mg/day was substantially better than 0.5/day. 5mg/day was not much better than 2.5mg/day. Since it's expensive, 2.5 is the way to go. That's why I grew hair, I upped the dosage that I had been on for over a year.

That is just me though. Most people I have seen on here say to stay away. There are a few that have had luck like me. One option is to use Test Prop. If you start losing hair, you can stop the Test and it will be out of your system in a few days. If you use a longer ester and notice some thinning, you have 2 weeks before that Test is out of your system.

Again, use caution; I think I'm pretty lucky. You might be too. To me, the answer is easy: use Prop and see. Worst case you loose a few hairs. Best case you keep your hair and get jacked.

thanks for the input..FYI I'm already on TRT a few years so my (I use cyp) so my test is already elevated to high normal levels for a 33 y/o. But I can say my hair looks abou the same as when I started finasteride five or six years ago. I guess I just need to put some more thought into it. But like the posters said above, I probably should just stay away if hair is that important to me (which it is). I'm somewhat familiar with Dut. but I'll check into it some more.
