well you typically want to have a diet that is 40%/40%/20% with protien, carbs and healthy fats.. but when cutting you must keep the protien intake but reduce the carbs and healthy fats proportionatley. You need to maintain protien in order to maintain your muscles.

So how much would I reduce my cal. by in order to discover what my other values should be at? If maintaining for me is 3179 Do I just reduce my cal. as much as possible keeping my Protien up and reducing carb and fat by ? as much as possible? or if I need 358 carb and 71 fat do I just shoot for substantially lower?

try and cut that by a third.. if that is bearable then cut it by half.. but nothing more as you need to maintain some carbs and fat to prevent your body from breaking down muscle for energy reserves
