I've never heard of it.
just cause it has a good cast dont mean its going to be good
What movie is that? Is it in theaters or something.
It's got Jim Sturgess, Colin Farrell, Ed Harris, Saoirse Ronan, Mark Strong in it.. based on a true story.. it just came out last week here, but usually movies come to theater's here a few months/weeks after they have already been in the States.
here is the summary:
Based on a true story, this centres on seven prisoners confined in the most terrible of prisons - a Siberian gulag. A daring escape leads to a race against their relentless pursuers, as the escapees deal with sub-zero temperatures, sandstorms and eventually a trek over the Himalayas. It's either make it to India or die trying. With Jim Sturgess, Colin Farrell and Ed Harris leading the cast, this boasts some big-hitters giving big performances, ably supported by the sensational Saoirse Ronan as a young woman who crosses their path and proves more valuable than expected.
Must not be getting released in my market area. Seems like it's got a decent cast. The story sounds like it will either be really good or really bad tho.
yeah, and it is almost 2.5 hours long... that's why i was hoping that someone on here would have seen it and save me the 10.50 euro and time in case it is bad.. I am suprised that it wasn't out in the states, it must be a UK company that made it or something then, because usually it is the other way around..
If it didnt hit the states first I would say save your money. Or you could probably down load it.
Never heard of this either. And like drdeath said a good cast doesn't mean anything. Such as Ghost Rider, Blade Trinity and Spider-Man 3. Yeah all superhero movies but I am a big nerd.
thats not necesarilly true.. there are a lot of good movies that never made it to the states.. Green Street, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, In Bruge, In the Name of the Father.. just to name a few.. sure a couple of those have to either deal with the troubles or soccer, but still great films..
this flick doesn't come out in the States until Jan 21st..
anyways, i tried downloading it twice last night and think i got a damn virus nowso i decided to just go check it out..it is a great flick. long and sad but good.. kind of reminds me of the movie "Defiance" with out the shooting.. i recomend you go see it..
here's the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87kezJTpyMI
