Are you talking about generic brands? Accutane itself is discontinued, but there are a variety of other generic brands under the isotretinoin name for the drug, such as rooccutane, and clavaris (spelling may be off, going by memory).

There are other alternative acne meds out there as well. Some of which are specifically advertised on this type of site, which I think is kind of sketch/snake oil, and then there are antibiotics such as doxycycline and minocycline, which aren't quite as strong and work differently from accutane. They're fairly easy to get a prescription for if you have any form of acne pretty much, and are very cheap themselves, unlike isotretionoin, which can be $10+ a pill for a decent amount of mg's.

ive been to the derm when i was a teen for bad acne and i was perscribed accutane... its the only thing that works for me honestly....then I was getting it from a research site "cem1", but now hes not selling it...fml ....i got some from my buddies supplier "Ashaaa" but honestly that wasnt even accutane... if it was it was some bunk sh!t, and over priced.

Anyone possibly know of anywhere else?

Sorry, the proper spelling I was going for was claravis and roaccutane*. Anything that is "isotretinoin" is the same thing, accutane is just the original and most well-known brand name. So you may have thought they were "bunk", but actually just made by another brand. You can get them relatively cheap online from India, but the keyword is "relative", they are expensive without insurance, which I'm assuming you had during your first prescription.

This stuff requires monthly blood tests to be prescribed, it's serious business.

I'm sure the commercials on TV are exaggerations, but I tell you what, I wouldn't want to risk it just to lose some acne. How bad is your acne that you want something that hardcore?

I've been supplementing Vitamin B5 (Pantotheonic Acid) for my bad acne and it's been working very well. I got the idea from a post Hazard had about taking 10mg of it daily and did a little research on it. I take 6mg a day and it's all actually cleared up well; I have only some acne scars left. I used to be covered with acne on my shoulders and back, and it would sometimes crop up on my arms, it was bad! I considered taking accutane as well, but wanted to avoid it because of the side effects. I would suggest giving this a go for at least a few weeks and see if you respond positively to it.

There is no real accutane replacement. Some doctors will tell you to try 16000 iu of vitamin A per day.
We have been using a topical wash for the last couple of years and I'm sold on it. It works well,,many uses,,
and its real cheap best of all.

idk lots of people who have taken accutane with no sides whatsoever. just go to your derm, get the stuff, and see if you can handle it. if you can't just stop, but i'm pretty sure you won't even notice the sides at a low dose.
