    Am I too old ? give me the low down

    Guys:
    I am new to this site, brand new. I hope to become educated. I am 41 yrs old, 5'10", stocky frame. 215 lbs. I have always been stocky. I went through a divorce a few years ago, and for the past 2 yrs I have lost 40 lbs and am in fairly good shape.
    Now, I have never had a lean body, and carry about 20% body fat even when dieting and exercising.
    I exercise approx 4 times a week, doing a mixture of upper body training with weights, and body pump and body attack classes. I sweat my ass off !! My diet is so so. It could use a little polishing, but not too far off.
    I am taking in approx 150 gms of protein, a shake in the morning, eggs mid morn if hungry, some deli sandwich usually for lunch, or grilled chicken, nuts mid afternoon, then supper around 8pm after work and workout. I eat some veggies for supper usually. i need to drink more water, and dump the diet colas.
    Now for the real question. My strengh is not too bad for an old man for my size. I can workout with 225, four sets of 10, slow reps. I don't max, too old. I did push 275 up easily the other day, so I am expecting my bench to possibly be 300. I don't train with heavy weight except once a week. The other 2 days I train are body pump classes with heavy weight, high reps. My arms are probably 18.5 inches.
    I have never taken steroids. I have been around the gym for years in my late teens to mid 20s. I know how to train, etc. I am no dummy. I have a degree in Math/Physics so don't belittle me.
    However, I am not too proud to note that I am ignorant of Steroids in the larger sense. I know the basics. I have taken AP recently in college, so I understand the body workings.
    I have good energy for my age, but I do suffer for some ED at times, but so do many of my friends.
    I was considering my first steroid stack to start in Sept, and something like Winstrol/test etc. I would like some added size, but I am already stocky. I would like to harden up, and be more vascular, and reduce my belly fat. I want some recommendations as to what to start with at my age, and consider things like minimal joint problems, muscle hardeness, fat burning, etc. consider my not so good lean genes. Thanks for the direction.

    Never too old. Anti-aging clinics provide steroids to aging men and it kicks them back into high gear. I would definitely go for it if I were you. But then again, I'm no doctor and have no idea of your condition so I'd consult with him/her beforehand.

    I have a buddy that says Trenbolone is the shit!! Also could I stack Deca/Winstrol/Test or would I need to do Deca/Test first, then Winstrol/Test or vice versa. I am only interested in 8-10 weeks, and from what I read the Trenbolone will add bulk, minimal water, moderately affects joints, trims fat, increased libido ( remember I am 41 and could use a kick in the pants sometimes ). anyone have any expirience with Trenbolone? I also want opinions on which Test. I know some are good for bulking, some good for ripping. Seems that testosterone enanthate maybe the best to stack with it. Thanks guys for your encouragement.

    I got instant respect from the younger guys when I popped up 275 easily the other night. That was nice !! Respect is never given, it must be earned !!!

    If I were you I'd do test only. Why jump on a stack if you've never done it before? Figure out how test effects you solo before adding other compounds. Save something like that for a future cycle, especially tren (after you've got a number of cycles). You WILL see results with test only. And go with something like Test Enanthate or Cypionate. And Test will definitely give you the kick in the pants you're looking for. No need to start at the top and work your way down.

    I am 65 now and do more than i did when i was 35.Tren is some very strong stuff and i wouldnt recomend it right now,it has some pretty severe side effects. I have done 4 cycles with it and it is the shit but you have some sides to deal with.I would just test only for your first cycle,it will give you some excellant results since its the first time using. Using test alone will let you see what you will have for side effects without something else involved,you can add a little something on your next cycle.

    Thanks everyone. From what I am reading on this site, I am in agreement. I will do some Test and see what happens. I will do an eight week cycle soon, and then may try to stack it in the spring of next year if all goes well.

    Welcome, by the way.

    And no you arent too old. You got that over the hill old man strength! You could move mountains! No joke. The older I get, the stronger I seem to get. And thats the case with alot of the guys. Plus being older, if you took something like say...test, if would tend to kick in alot faster for you than say for me, who is 25.

    I think a lot of people will recommend to lower BF below 15% before using AAS to avoid harsh side effects and I do believe that people with high body fat tend to put on 2 much fat on cycle along with muscle from other threads I have read.
    Now, usually as a first cycle Test only is recommended but I wouldn't run it for less than 12 weeks and to be honest some winstrol from week 8 - 14 can't be that bad and with a good cutting diet will aid fat loss. You can get on the winstrol at week 8 and see if any side effects emerge, starting at week 8 you will be able to know where the side effects are coming from if any occur.

    TRT at your age could be a option as well so u never have to worry about recovering from cycles since all you need is a small break and then hop back on the doctor prescribed TRT dose. If that's what you want of course.

    Slow down old man, you need to get a handle on your diet before doing anything. A cycle with poor diet = wasted cycle.

    When did 40 become old?..... we are peaking man!


    And ....if you have signs of low Test levels, by all means get some bloodwork done and talk to an Endo. But many, myself included have no need for TRT at 40, people jump the gun around here and think everybody should be on TRT...

    ^^^ agreed. You do have a higher risk of unwanted sides with a higher BF %. I started at 16% which is considered high. But I had a great success with mine because I kept a strong diet. Are you sure you are 20%? You could post a headless PIC and we could give you a close estimate. Test only ( C or E) for 10 to 12 weeks would be a great start. You will see good results.

    Bro hit the diet section.Learn how to eat that is key.You really need to get your bf down before doing a cycle.This with help you with sides.Being that high you could suffer from gyno high blood pressure.Good luck.

    My pic is of me at 41 .. old don't exsist until you wanna be old !! Jump on some test and add from there as you learn more. and dude, you are no 20% b/f in that pic sorry to say !! Get your eating and diet in check, you will be amazed at what your body will look like in 3 months. You look like you have some decent size so ya, you will quite impressed... Good luck bro...

    Def not to old. Im 42 and started cycling a few years ago. My body and mind set has changed dramadically. I would just do test if its ur 1st cycle. No need to add anything else.

    You are not too old (I'm older and was older for my first cycle), but you have some issues quoted above. Get the diet correct. Get the bodyfat down. Start doing squats. Working "upper body" with weights does not cut it.
