    Introduction, First Cycle Questions!

    Note: My planned first cycle and my questions are at the bottom of this post if you wish to get straight to the point.



    Because I am new to the forum (been lurking a bit here and there) - a little bit about myself:

    I’m almost 28 years old and have been working out for seven straight years without any breaks of more than a week straight. I’ve always stuck with bodybuilding-style split routines, but it wasn’t until the last couple of years that I’ve really dialed in on my nutrition.

    I started out at 155 (I’m 5’11’’) and didn’t really ever get above 175 for about four years because I didn’t know what I was doing with my diet and I didn’t much care during that time. Then I spent a year bulking up and got to about 225, but my bulk was a “dreamer’s bulk” and, though I gained a lot of strength and muscle, I was getting fat as well – I was eating a ridiculous amount of calories! I am now down to about 185 since then and am somewhat lean (a little bicep vascularity/some lower abdominal vascularity) and have kept probably about 90% of my strength from when I was at my largest. Realistically, though, I would like to be at my current weight or even 5-10 lbs heavier, but much more lean. Basically, I want to add muscle without having to gain a bunch of fat again, hence why I am now posting here.

    I have been researching first-time cycles, and I think I want to go similar to this route:

    Cycle
    1) Week 1-10 – Testosterone Enanthate 250mg, 2x/week
    2) Week 1-12 - Arimidex 0.25mg/d (reduce to 0.125mg week 12)
    3) Week 6-12 – hCG 250iu/day
    4) On Hand if Needed – Nolvadex 20mg/day

    PCT
    1a) Week 13 - Nolvadex 20mg, 2x/day
    1b) Week 14-16 - Nolvadex 20mg/day

    QUESTIONS

    1) Does that look like the right amount of Arimidex (I’ve read anywhere from 0.25mg EOD up to 0.5mg every day)?

    2) Should I take the Arimidex and hCG two weeks after pinning Test as shown above or just use them until week 10 and start PCT week 11?

    3) Should I change anything about the hCG (dosages or number of weeks)? I’ve read to use it throughout the cycle in some places, halfway through the cycle in others, and yet others say just to use it for PCT, so I’m pretty unclear here.

    4) Is hCG pinned the same as Test?

    5) Should I just run the Nolvadex with my cycle instead of keeping it on hand “just in case”? If so, would 10mg/day suffice?

    6) Should I change anything about the Nolvadex in my PCT (dosages or number of weeks)?

    There are a few questions on here I would like to find out about too. Kjohnt I to am looking into my first cycle and the hcg part is what I'm wondering bout to.

    some hcg info threads. HCG is 2x a week at 250iu each for during your cycle, NOT PCT.
    finding your dose of armidex is dependent on your individual self. If you have sides then start, but if you dont have many sides then i wouldnt run a AI.

    i wouldnt run the AI enless you have sides. ones less thing ur body has to handle

    For pct I would run both clomid and nova.Hit the pct section Swiftos got some good shit in there.

    So I've been talking to some others about this and I've changed my plan... I've been told to use exemestane instead of adex and clomid instead of nolva and start hcg week one. Here is what I'm thinking of running currently:

    Cycle
    1) Week 1-10 - Test E 500mg/week (250mg mon, 250mg thur)
    2) Week 1-12 - hCG 500iu/week (250iu mon & 250iu thur)
    3) Week 1-12 - aromasin (exemestane) 12.5mg/day

    PCT
    1a) Week 13-14 - Aromasin 25mg/d
    1b) Week 13-14 - Clomid 100mg/day (50mg in morning & 50mg at night)
    1a) Week 15-16 - Aromasin 12.5mg/d
    2b) Week 15-16 - Clomid 50mg/day



    Should I start hcg week one? Do my AI and SERM dosages appear to be a good starting point (I don't want to overdo it, but at the same time don't want to underdo it)?

    Songdog, you mentioned Nolva added to PCT but that was before exemestane was there... does it look good as or if you would change it, how so?



    Thanks again for all of the input guys. I tend to overanalyze things and am probably doing it with this planned cycle, but injecting drugs is not something with which I want to mess around or "wing it" and I want to be sure i have everything in order before proceeding.

    there is no need for the hcg from the begining
    i would do clomid and nolva only for pct
    i was start the aromasin at 12.5 eod and see how it goes.

    another thought. you were able to get to 225 naturally before but a higher bf% you then you wanted. All you want is 190 lean then that should be easy for you naturally if you got your diet dialed in better. There are guys on here that are great at that. Why not take that route?

    Because I want to be 190 absolutely shredded

    I guess I just want some faster results this time to be completely honest. Natural gains can be attained for sure, but it takes a long time, and I'm getting older which means my natural test is probably not what it was when I was 23/24. And I want to keep fat gain to a minimum. There are a few reasons. With that said, I truly believe I will be one of the few who runs a single cycle and that is it. 190, maybe 195 very lean is a weight I'd be comfortable with.

    Before starting this one time cycle, go get blood work done for a good baseline. Especially for test levels.

    but I do agree you could get 5lbs of muscle with your diet changed.
