New member, but a lot of experience with TRT

I've been a long time lurker, and did a lot of my research here before I decided to make the move to using AAS. I went the TRT way. It has been a strange journey.

My initial clinic was THARC. If you have never heard of them, the Total Health and Rejuvenation Clinic is the infamous clinic instigated in the baseball scandals. They have been investigated a few times, but always managed to survive. However, in the course of a round of therapy they were suddenly shut down. The owners were escorted away in handcuffs. I was suddenly left with no means to continue therapy or even get PCT.

That's how I began a desperate plunge into finding as many TRT clinics as I possibly could. On my first day of searching I submitted more than 40 information requests. I received dozens and dozens of phone calls.

I got so many responses that I began to sort through them. I began to try and find out which clinics offered which medication, in which quantities, for which prices.

I dealt with a lot of angry salesmen, high pressure sales, and all sorts of tactics and schemes to get me to join. It soon became obvious to me that TRT clinics rake in massive profits directly through the volume of pharmaceutical sales, which they do through business arrangements with specific pharmacies.

As I gathered more information I became increasingly informed, wise to the typical ploys, and aware of my options. I realized that the power to select a clinic was in MY hands. I was the customer that they desperately wanted, I got to make the final decision as to who I would proceed with.

I eventually found a clinic that made me happy, gave me what I wanted, skipped the bullshit, and had good prices.

I'm not here to promote them. I just wanted to share my experience, lend some info and insight, and try my best to help others find a clinic that will work best for them.

I learned a lot in the course of my journey, but nothing more important than the simple fact that if you do your research, shop around, and hold out for the best deal, you will eventually find what you are looking for.

Thanks - I appreciate it. I've already had a couple people accuse me of making a sales pitch. It seemed like I was being pretty clear about pushing the idea that people should SHOP AROUND, but who knows?

I think the real shocker, for me, was the transition from "I hope I can get TRT therapy" on into "who should I go with in order to not get scammed?"

I was terrified that my blood work was going to come back and my test levels would be too high to be prescribed therapy. I look back on that now and want to laugh. TRT is, as weird as it seems to say, a BUYER'S MARKET.

It isn't always obvious at first, but the more clinic reps you talk to the more clear it becomes. It's like dealing with used car salesmen. You get the distinct feeling that they can SMELL the commission.

Some of the things I have encountered that I would have NEVER expected from a medical clinic:

Medication Sales! End of Summer blowout! Half off on brand name test and deca!

Discount if you refer your friends!

By one get one 50% of test vials!

I told my family about this and they didn't believe me. Too crazy, they said. But it's very real.

People get together all the time and talk about how to deal with used car dealerships to get the best deal. How to bargain for discounts and cut through sales scams and other BS.

I didn't make the clinic scene this way. But I'll be damned if I get suckered in and taken for a ride.

I figured if there was a place that we could come together and share info in order to be better informed for how to deal with this kind of crazy shit, well I figured it was here.

    ...so here I am.
