Everyone is going to have their opinion on this one. And to be open, many doctors, including mine, use 3/4" needle for injecting test. I use a 3/4" needle, and have been for quite some time. You want the needle to penetrate the skin/fat and into the muscle. anything beyond that are just styalistic points imho. Many will say it needs to be injected "deep" into the muscle, but what I've never seen is the data suggesting that an extra 1/4" or more is going to have any impact. If it did have such an impact, then why are many clinics going so shallow at 3/4"?
Just my .02. Others will have their .02 as well. Add it all up, you may have enough for a cup of coffee! =)
