Keep at it, if you do them heavy twice a week, you will see results. They take a long time.

Try doing controlled movements,i see a lot of people bouncing the weight up and down.hold it at the top for a few seconds,it helped me doing this and i have trouble with my calves.Genetics have a lot to do with how big they will get.
I assume you compete right? If not I couldn't see you or anyone getting a calf implant. Maybe a pec or biceps implant but not calf implants.
You just need to work them more heavily and more often. They WILL build, genetics doesn't matter.
Let me tell you this....
History is written by winners.. not by those who take short cuts... Stop making excuses... get your ass in the gym and fkn punish those calves... make them grow... and please ensure your diet is in check...
As jelly said above... genetics means shit all... yeah some guys/girls might build calves easier than others.. but .. fk.. that's life .. you might have it easier building... well I don't know biceps then some other users..
In summary get your mind set.... mentality is everything.. if you set your mind.... you'll achieve everything and more.
My calves are my worst body part too, but they are def growing as of late.. I have always said I wanted calf implants too.. I don't think I would really ever get them tho.. Btw, shouldnt this be in the lounge? Lol
Jesss... freaking calves are my kryptonite. I have managed to get them grow a tad bit but that's it. And things get harder (if you're tyring to grow them) if you do cardio 4+ days a week for at least 45mins + ..good luck!

It also has to do with genetics man. My calves grow if i so much as THINK about walking. Chest wont grow for the life of me though

Not true. I see top heavy guys at the gym with huge upperbodies and stick legs. It makes me laugh!
As stated before, if you are having a hard time getting a muscle to build, then totally punish that body part. Don't do 3 sets of 12, instead do sets of 14 with the heaviest weight you can use and superset it with pushing a wieghted sled and do this until you can no longer walk. Then rest for 5 to 10 minutes and do it again!

OK my calves are the same size as my biceps, when I flex both of them. If the biceps are getting bigger than the calves, then you should slow down on the biceps and then hit the calves hard for a few weeks.
Remember it is important to have a well rounded and balanced body. If you don't have that I will be the guy smirking in the corner laughing in my head about how you look like a flamingo.

The calve is the densest muscle and used everyday therefore needs to be worked way harder than any other muscle in order to stimulate growth
I know because i have a sad left inner calve which i am trying very hard to build
So what i can suggest is big contraction at the top every rep and whatever you current calve workout is run it twice meaning do your regular workout for them and then do it again
On top of that do it twice a week they will come up.oh and one more thing dont hardly rest between sets will help lots as well

I remember back in the late 70's or 80's that Arnold was accused of having calf inplants done because they developed rather quickly,he insisted he didnt have it done and his calves were a result of hard work.I guess we know Arnold wouldnt keep a secret now would he.......
dude i have pectus excavatum, and i fought around it and have great results..no need for implants
Do this for 6 weeks and I promise you your calves will grow an inch....tried tested and true workout that I got from charles poliquin.
Mon:
Calf raise machien light weight x 4 20-25 reps
Body weight Calf raise x 4 20-30 reps
Thur:
Calf raise Heavy weight x 4 3-5 reps
Seated Calf raise x 3 6-8 reps
Simple but it works!
You would not be happy to walk around wearing shorts showing them off knowing they are silicone! It would not feel right, probably a bit strange in fact.
People always sit on the donkey machine with a 45 plate for 10 reps and wonder why their calves aren't growing lol. Calves can take a lot of abuse and they are like any other muscle - if they aren't on fire or sapped by the end of your workout you probably aren't stimulating shit
