I've never done either alone so it's hard to say how much of the results was from the clen and how much was from the T3. Maybe you should be the guinea pig. Start running clen see how it affects you and then run the t3 along side it. Compare the difference.
I've often heard (also mentioned in the profile that magic posted) that T3 can cause you to lose muscle if not taken along with aas. I would love to see some recent studies on this. I'm not saying I'm disagreeing with it, but I feel with the right diet you should be able to limit it. It's been a few years and I was in my mid 20's, but I noticed no significant loss in LBM while on the T3/Clen combo.
