    Getting back in the game

I'm a newbie. 40+ yrs old and recovering from shoulder surgery. I'm trying to get back into competition shape (I am an amateur boxer and also compete sparingly in judo tourneys). Neither sanctioning bodies require extensive screenings. I am looking for guidance in possible supplements to help my recovery so I can get back in the game.

If your posting this in the hrt forum, I assume the supps your hinting to are AAS? If so, personally, id do as much physiotherapy as possible until you plateau, then start on "supplements" to get you to the next level. Try to recover naturally the best you can, unless you get bloodwork indicating you have low test. If you do have low test, id get on a trt protocol immediately.

I am about 9 mos removed from surgery. I've been working out with typical results; early progress then plateau. I do need to get test levels checked.Probably the next logical step. Recovery is horribly frustrating! Especially when I"m surrounded by workout partners 20 yrs my junior. Getting old sucks! I will not go quietly into that good night.
