Question Overweight and starting a cycle?

A friend of mine is convinced he can start a cycle and use that to loose fat fast by "converting the fat to muscle" i'm curious as to if this is a good or bad idea. Should he work on getting leaner first? he is easily over 20%bf (id say between 25-30) around 260lbs.

Definitely a bad idea. Not only will he be more likely to experience terrible estrogen related side effects like gyno and low libido but people that are that overweight usually have blood pressure/heart problems and AAS is going to make it worst. Lean out first is my recommendation and if not well good luck.

you probably don't realize that 20% doesnt look fat at all. If he is fat then he is way more than that. Most people i know are over 20%.

and as stated above bad idea.

if fat converts to muscle i am going about everything wrong. I need to gain fat in order to get fit....damn

thanks for the reply. also i'd like to add the fact that he is a very active guy (semi pro football lineman, lifting 6 days a week) he would like to maintain a healthy but heavy weight.

I might equate this as a question like should a guy built similar to Logan Mankins <-- Image link (NE Patriots Offensive lineman) be in a physical shape to start a cycle?

maybe compare the physique of a powerlifter vs a bodybuilder.. more worried about strength and improving for a sport than looking like a bodybuilder

imo healthy and being that big and high bf% and steroids dont go together. You cant have everything.
