Is there any truth about the legitimacy of a site based on payment options?? Meaning does it matter whether or not you pay by credit card or bank wire/money order? Some sites advise that only scammers will accept credit cards. Can you get a legitimate order with a credit card? Please advise!

Personally I don't like the western union thing. But, I would use it if it was from a good referral.

Yeah it can be legit but alot are scams just to get your cc info

If your still wanting to chance it then use a prepaid card

Thanks for the info. FYI as far I'm concerned I have a specific (debit)account for questionable purchases that I use, and only transfer the amount needed for purchasing. After that the balance is 0.
