I guess they don't require a doctor to make the death call.

a cop can't fart in this country without some one recording it on their cell phone....

.....no one had a cell phone at the wake?

    seems hard to believe!

I call BS. The preserving process of an open casket funeral would make this impossible imo

    Total bullshit.

There is no way a kid suffered respiratory arrest and subsequent cardiac arrest, was declared dead at a hospital (generally requiring an EKG confirming asystole, which you don't generally just come out of), placed in a PLASTIC BAG for several days, and somehow still...I'm not even going to finish that sentence it is so ridiculous.

These kinds of shenanigans were only possible before the advent of modern medicine and monitoring equipment, where someone was just kind of kicked, and declared dead if they didn't move (well, I guess they mostly just checked for a pulse and looked for chest rise, both of which can sometimes go unnoticed).

Most of the world will bury the dead as is, only a few countries around the world embalm bodies.
