    AAS, Antidepressants and Psychological Effects

    Hi,

Could someone please provide me with some info on this topic? I am currently taking 100mg of Luvox ED (fluvoxamine) and 100mg of Anafranil ED (clomipramine) for psychological disorders including OCD, anxiety, and panic attacks. I have started a cycle (my first cycle) of AAS - Winstrol at a fairly low dose of 35mg ED, planning on going for a month, and was wondering if anyone knows if taking an AAS such as this could possibly worsen my mental conditions or even create new ones? Also, what would be good to take along with it for extra mental support?

    Thanks

    Bro,

Everybody's situation is different. However, I can tell you from my own experience that AAS have always boosted my sense of well being...very noticeably.
I'm not sure a low dose of Winny is going to do much for you one way or the other. You might consider some Test instead. What are your goals?/Reasons for using AAS? Sounds like a little more research would help you. You should post your physical stats, workout routine and your goals if you want to get responses from experienced members. Get on a good solid workout routine, build yourself up. You'll probably find as I did that your body will begin to release endorphins in proportion to how hard you work. You may be able to say goodbye to the SSRIs once you're on a solid workout routine. I'd say forget the AAS meds for now, just get in the gym and get busy...you'll be amazed at the mood elevation received from your body's own natural substances.

    Good Luck

In my 20's I got severe depression. Thoughts of suicide, you name it. Mainly because I cycled early and damaged my system. I took prozac & wellbutrin but that didn't really help me. I took a break from cycling for a few years so that I can mature and develop a better ability to control my emotions.

In all honesty, I really and truly believe that if you feel a need for anti depressants, you should not be cycling. There will come a day when your depression goes away or gets much better and you can reconsider AAS then. For some, depression never goes away but certainly becomes controllable.

For me... AAS + (alcohol and/or Anti depressants) = No.

My training partner's on anti-depressant medication. When he started his Test cycles he said he felt sooo much better. His sense of well being is noticeable.

Stats - Height 5'8, Weight 156lb, 24 years old, been lifting for about 4 years. Working out 5 days a week atm, my diet is in check, I'm quite lean (dont know exact body fat percent) but I cant seem to make any gains. I have low test from the medication I'm on, coupled with increased cortisol from constant stress.... Thats my reason for using AAS. I know that Winny is not an ideal steroid for bulking, but I thought I would try a short mild oral only cycle of a "mild" steroid without the addition of test or other compounds just to see how it would affect my mentality. I know test should be the base of any cycle but I'm worried about taking more than one compound, at least until I see how it will affect me.
