    My Deposition

    So my wife and i had to give depositions yesterday over a custody battle regarding 3 of our children. Of course, it was brought on by her ex husband claiming full custody 3 weeks after getting served w/child support order.

    My lawyer said to keep my temper under control...

    Atty..Mr. stpete, is it true you spend all hours of the night on the computer? And do you look at porn?
    stpete...Yes, i stay up late.

    Atty..Do you pay child support? And when did you last work and your employer...
    stpete...i am current in my child support and i am self employed.

    Atty...Mr. stpete, we have to know what you do for a living cause you live an extraordinary lifestyle that most people would be happy to explain.
    stpete...I refuse to give in to asshole's like you is one reason i have money! hahahaha...

    Yup, keep it short and to the point. Judges done like to read a bunch of BS but NO, dont be a smart ass. Doesnt score points. You can do it more tactfully and still get the same point across.

    I had to do several of them before also. My ex/almost would write 3+ pages of stuff and questions. I would respond with one liners and the judge loved it.

    I also agree, keep the anger under check. Get him where it hurts, in the wallet. Sounds like he is a dead beat bad or just doesnt want to part with any money?

    I lied about everything...Probably purge red myself 100 different times for my wife. But i was raised that we stick to the people we love. And that is what i will do. Plus, no one likes a rat!

    It was a pain, but the court denied him. Just keep it cool.
