    Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM

Is Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM any good or just a rip-off/placebo? Do you guys take it? Do you think it helps?

Whenever I research it on the internet they seem to reference these few studies (GAIT) that all seem like garbage anyways. They say it doesn't work, which it may not, but they used the wrong kind of glucosamine (hydrochloride, not sulfate) and had a really small sample size. I hate how anything that is considered a "supplement" and not a drug has garbage research. From what it sounds like all the studies are garbage and either were meant to intentionally prove or disprove it before the studies started and are all unreliable.

I know they say it doesn't really hurt, but it is kinda expensive. Is it something people should take or just another scam?

I don't really have joint problems yet, just want to have good nutrition.

Buy MSM from the feed store. It's way cheaper. After about a month of using, my knees and neck felt much better.

    Here's a site: http://www.bulkfoods.com/search_resu...rch=fromSearch

5 pounds for 32.85$$ not expensive at all
and it does work. My whole family uses it daily and have seen great results. It is also given to horses and livestock who have bad joints. I give it to my 10 year old chocolate lab and after a month she can run again without hobbling or falling

I've been using MSM for almost 15 years. 5 grams a day, forever....

takes abouut a month, and then one day I realized my knees weren't killing me anymore. but the effects are sublte, much more so than a simple on/off switch when it comes to pain.

I use a multivitamin, that's has these items in it. My 36 yr old bride has Rheumatoid Arthritis and uses MSM and has had great success with it. I have 2 bad shoulders and after 3 weeks of taking these vitamins I noticed a difference. Like TR said its subtle but still it helps me.
