We train a bodypart each day. Legs are done by warm up and then 2 - 3 hours squating! Then assistance exercises.
Same for dead lifts. Same for bench.
Through diet and training alone I have lifted each category from 75kgs to 120 kgs in one year. Then I dropped back. I competed for State and national titles, my next shot will be world masters, I am 56. I never used steroids till age 60 and am stronger now than ever.
Diet cannot be underestimated. read and learn.
Training must be hard and furious, no pain and no gain. warm up, avoid injuries but after a session you need 2 days to recover. Thats why a bodypart per day! One day is light stretching! After a comp you need 2 weeks for recovery!
Power lifting is a great sport and you will make lifelong friends. Be aware There were only 5 of us still going in Australia at my age. Its either in you or not! I love to compete! I love to win. I hope it gives you the same pleasure its given me over the last 33 years! Good luck. John
