    22g needle BETTER than 25g??....YES

so i had been using 18g needles to draw, 22g to inject. while posting on another thread, i had mentioned that i was using 22g to inject. at that point, another member asked me why i was using 22g, indicated that they hurt more, and that i should use 25g. the smaller the needle, the less pain i gather, which would seem to make sense. so, i grabbed some 25g to try.....BAD IDEA. i have no idea why, as it goes against what most suggest, but that 25g hurt MORE going in for sure!!!! not only that, but once it was in, the oil would not inject through it. i was pushing that plunger so hard, but it was not moving. i even backed the needle out a bit and continued to try, but still no luck. that oil would not move!! after about 30 seconds of trying, i gave up, pulled it out, and swapped it out for my usuall 22g. picked a new spot, injected no problem, no pain and that was that. this was in my left delt, which has been injected previously.

so just throwing it out there, that smaller is not better in my case, for whatever reason. i'll stick with the 22g cuz they DO NOT HURT AT ALL, nice & smooth everytime. maybe my 22g are just nice and sharp

that wouldn't have an anything to do with the injection speed. its the viscosity of the oils and the size of the needle that determines injection speed.

i was referring to the initial injection pain with the "sharp" comment.

so for you it's the initial injection pain, AND the oils weren't transferring into the muscle quick enough? not sure about the last part, but yes your 23's may have been a little sharper.

yes, both. the smaller needle hurt more going in and the oil would not inject....it was a complete and total FAIL. 22g (not 23g) is definately my preference.

Call me what you will, but I wouldn't inject with a 22g unless it was unavoidable. I will use a 23g sometimes and I hate it anywhere by glutes (where I can't tell much difference).

i don't call people names, lol.

i've been using 22g from the start, doesn't bother me at all. just another example on how people react differently to EVERYTHING. what works for one person doesn't always work for another, very strange.

Hell, I use a 27g with Test Cyp and it is absolutely painless and the ester passes with just a little effort.

i'm thinking maybe these 25g needles aren't that sharp....and as far as the oil, i'm using Apotek label Test E 250.

Regardless of the size i would say all of them are equally sharp. I prefer 18's to draw and 23's to pin.

I've been using 1 1/2" 22 ga for all pins for close to 20 years. Never any problems and no pain. Just my preference.

Speaks the truth! One last component is going to be the inner diameter of the barrel. Smaller barrel, more pressure.

I was going to say that I have thick skin and it wouldn't bother me...but apparently I have very sensitive skin. Heh.

This is the other reason I use 25g. Less scar tissue. I inject twice a week for TRT which is 104 injections a year. Throw in some ED or EOD blasts (and 104 sub-q HCG injections) and I am punching a LOT of holes in my body.

I've used 27 for cyp and enan. It definitely takes longer, but it's worth less pip for me.

Sure you're not injecting honey? Lol. I use 23 to draw 25 to pin, would never go back to using anything bigger.
