For those of you who go to ENDO's for TRT.

Do your ENDO's prescribe HCG and an AI? Do they give you a hard time about it. Recently i told my Doc that he has done more bad then good in regards to my shrinking boys. I also told him to refer me to somebody that actually knows what they are doing. He didnt like that. So, a referral is pending for a endocrinologist.

Ricci the doc's title really doesn't matter. It just matters if they know hormones and the proper application of TRT. Most, unfortunately do not. Specifically look for an A4M Certified Physician in your area if possible. You can use the Finding a TRT Physician sticky for search engines as well. One is there for A4M guys.

I had the exact same thing with a prior endo that I "fired" as well. Even showed him an HCG product insert that I downloaded where it stated it was for Hypogonadatropic Hypogonadism. Call the endo you're referred to and ask if he'll treat you how you want first, don't waste your time and theirs only to be disappointed. A nurse on staff will know in most cases.

Agree with Kel, it took me about a year and half to finally find a doc that knows her stuff. Good luck and keep us posted.

My suggestion is if your having trouble finding a MD is to find a NMD (Naturopathic Medical Doctor)or a ND in your area. Just interview over the phone on their TRT treatments. A ND is more likely to help you out.

This is what you must do sometimes to manage your own health and healthcare.

Kel says this all the time and so do I.

I know it's frustrating but you did it and be proud of yourself.

As kel stated, go and use the links inside the Finding a TRT Doc; there are two in there that will help guide you.

Also, as noted in that sticky, look for local compounding pharmacies around where you live and either call them or stop in and ask if they can help you find one of thier Docs who prescribes TRT drugs and if they would pass on the name(s)...this can help you a ton.

Don't think and Endo is going to get it...most won't.

You need to find a specialist in TRT for men to help you.

Some men here have even flown to see guys like Crisler and Gaines to get the proper care...and don't rule that out either...your health and well being are the most important things you have.

Keep us posted man on your outcome and I am personally am proud of what you did.

PS. After this he may be open to change; go to Crisler's website All Things Male and look for his paper on Hormone Replacement and HCG...pass these along and tell you Doc you'd be willing to work with him on using both compounds...if he's smart he may see this as a learning opportunity and jump in feet first...one never knows.

Thanks guys. Yea im just about done with this whole thing. If my nuts werent the size of small marbles i would probably just stop but i know if i do ill be in big trouble. I will get what i need. I printed out the Crisler protocol for HCG and the doc didnt even want to read it, just put it in my chart. I think thats whats really pissed me off and drove me to become an a$$hole. As far as the A4M docs, my insurance wont cover a cent of that. I plan on talking with the endo tomorrow. Ill keep you guys posted. Thanks again.

Yeah good luck, my endo wouldn't do it either so needed a new doc. He did however refer me to someone that was willing to help me out and knew his stuff.

My endo would not. He dismissed the AI as "risky" and hCG as unlikely to get insurance approval. He no longer works for me, though I did like him otherwise. You can, to at least some extent, source these things on your own.

The thing about endo's is that they are primarily, by a LARGE DEGREE, specialists in diabetes. Then they would be specialists in thyroid. And way way down the list is testosterone. And then it's mainly focused on a few genetic diseases (which most of us do not have).

If you can, try to look in a medical school endocrinology book. Look in the index for how many pages are on testosterone replacement therapy.

Really depends on the urologist - some suck, some don't. My uro basically looked at my Total T (195), threw some Testim at me, and said "Come back in 4 months..." He didn't draw baseline levels on a lot of important labs that need monitoring. Arm yourself with info from here and make a list of questions/wants that you can back up with data/info and see what he says.
