Everyone is different but 2-3 weeks is when I recall it kicking in.
Thanks for the reply. Did you keep some of it? In the long run?
5th week for me doing 200 deca / 400 cyp.
Put on 17 lbs, kept 10.
Nutrition and training will guarantee retention. Nothing else. Plain and simple.Originally Posted by Blackatom8608
Deca is a long ester so it will take some time to see it make a difference. Nandrolone is great for retainable gains, in fact I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say all steroids are good for retainable gains. Things like Dbol have a rep for disappearing gains but this is for one of two reasons. The first with Dbol is water retention. First you get very fast, dramatic weight gain. It's a fast acting AAS. However, you retain water while running it and when you stop the water drops away. This to me isn't really gains unless you want to call it water gains. Tbol for instance doesn't make me retain water, doesn't convert to estrogen so it seems to make for slow, steady, relatively dry, hard gains.
NOW... the other reason you see these dramatic drop in size with Dbol is because it's a very popular steroid for first time users running it as an oral only cycle with (and this is the most important point) absolutely no idea how to eat to grow, what to eat and how to eat to maintain muscle.
So here's a guy who is a very receptive first time user, not used to the increased estrogen and the Testosterone suppression that goes along with oral only cycles, who doesn't eat worth a damn. In the end you get huge weight increase followed by loosing just about all of it. That for me is why Dbol gets a bad rep where some of the other more advanced compounds seem to do better. They are being taken by guy's that are prepared to cycle with a goal in mind and a diet and training schedule that works.
