    Do you think it is fine to take zma even in the morning?

    I take 2 cp of ZMA (20mg zinc 300mg magnesium) before bed and 1 cp in the morning (10mg zinc 150mg magnesium) as soon as I wake up with other vitamins and pre workout meal. After 1 hour I go to the gym and train.

    I'knowing that the magnesium has a muscle relaxation effect I'm wondering is still ok to take it in the morning before training or not? it's just 150 mg, I take it because it's in a complex with zinc.

    How does it make you feel?

    I take my Magnesium which is mixed with zinc and Calcium. 400mg mag,1,000 mg calcium and 25mg zinc before bed with 5mg melatonin. I can definitely feel that it makes me dopey and a little loose. Like a mild muscle relaxer would.

    I take zinc picolinate on it's own 50mg 2 times a day.

    I know I wouldn't want to take it before workout just because I do not want to be relaxed, I want to get pumped up. If it doesn't have that affect on you I really don't know if it would be a bad thing. Might want to wait for someone like austinite who knows a ton more about this than me.

    It makes me sleepy (ZMA) personally I would use it only at night.

    ZMA makes me wide awake like I'm on crack lol

    Onestly I train without problem. but I never skipped a day of zma in the morning so I don't know the difference.

    I've had it cause this problem at times as well. Sucks when you really needed to sleep. I haven't taken it alone in a long time. When I do take my vitamins I include a magnesium pill, and the multi usually has a fair amount of zinc. But I'm out of multis, and don't think I am even going to bother getting more. If I start to feel off I will consider it again. The first time I ever took zma though I seemed to notice huge changes, but I think at that point in time I was deficient or something. Was sweating all day ridiculous amounts, outside in 125 degree weather. I would tell more interesting details about sweat mineral excretion but I won't go there.
