This is why we can't have nice things.

Hey there everybody I just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking an extended break from the site, as well as the internet completely through my laptop/computer. I may still pop in once in a while via my mobile phone, but that's different. For the past couple of months I have struggled severely with being disciplined enough when it comes to using the internet. It started with me procrastinating things and leaving it until the last minute, to the internet literally taking over my life (besides work and going to the gym). So many aspects of my life need improvement but nothing is or has been done for months now. I will come back home from work and browse the internet until 6 in the morning, wake up at 2pm or 3pm, work from 5-10, then do the same thing. My car needs to be vaccumed and cleaned out, my laundry needs to be done more frequently, I have been slipping up with my nutrition (this is really placing a toll in my mind I feel awful about it day after day), the dishes are not always cleaned up, the house could be managed better (vacuumed, cleaning cleanliness etc). My sleeping pattern is completely messed up, I feel like complete crap in almost all aspects of life. Before I had installed WiFi, I would use my phone here and there for browsing the internet, but honestly I barely used it compared to how much I have been using it now and I was feeling like a million bucks. (Everything was always done, I always had peace of mind, I was calm, not feeling depressed, I want that feeling back so bad).

This is why we can't have nice things. If I can't discipline myself, it's time to take another route. I am heading into work in about 20 minutes but I will be calling my cable and internet provider and shutting off the internet for good. This has gone to deep, I have wasted to much time. I want to thank each and every member on here for everything you guys provide the members with, your concern with peoples safety even though it can get annoying answering the same questions month after month, you guys still keep it under control and are polite and professional for the most part.

Time to get back on track with my life, the internet has made me spin out of control for too long. Can't discipline myself to limiting my internet use? Well now it's gone for good. I may pop in once in a while but very rarely on mobile. I don't really use the internet much and never really have on my phone. Thank you guys for everything. Stay humble, stay positive. Take care.

Nice job!! However isn’t writing this just procrastinating this issue, giving you more reason to further check up on what people are saying about this giving you that 1 more reason to log on and take time away from all your work that needs to get done. So I guess maybe Nice Job if you actually do it… good luck though.

Give it a try see how it goes. Try to do other things, it will help you to stay away from the internet.
Supporting myself since 18 I have been working and going to school full time for 5 years now. Working 5, 6 days a week, I don't have time to waste. I'd rather take a nap than sitting behind my computer all day. Its been my life style, on top of what I'm doing I also sell phones, and other items on cl, which also takes time.
