Left ventricular hypertrophy was noted in 30.4%, and moderate to severe narrowing of the coronary arteries in 26.1%.
These are my worries.

not really interested..
everyone is going to die.. no exceptions..
what about death and alcohol, or death and smoking, or death and cars, or death and water, or death and roller coasters, or death and McDonalds...
I am going to die!!! Wtf how many more cycles can I get it before I go??
Makes me wonder how much gear they were abusing and if they did proper cycle support.
True what I'm doing to my body isn't the greatest thing in the world I could be doing, but I bet I have more muscle mass and better liver values than the guy that goes out to the bar every night.
I want to live to an old age and be active.
I think the fact that 23 of the 24 cases also were using psychostimulants is interesting. It they were abusing them, they could greatly contribute to coronary/ cardiac issues:

This is why I always wear clean under wear.
Deaths were mainly due to accidental drug toxicity (62.5%), then suicide (16.7%) and homicide (12.5%).
. In 23 of 24 cases, substances other than steroids were detected, most commonly psychostimulants (66.7%).
There seems to be a great deal more going on than just proper steroid use.
I wonder if they were using stimulants as adhd treatment. That could be a clue to whether or not they were abusing AAS, as adhd patients are more likely to abuse/become addicted to drugs.
So these people died yet Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't, interesting... Must of been idiots that didn't know what the hell they were doing.
...nice post, Kel! Always interesting to read studies involving AAS... very recent, too!

Cant risk of enlargement of the heart be stopped with a good regulation of blood pressure and rbc? Simply giving blood can stop this am I right?
Back then the steroids where pharmaceutical grade and there wasnt the need to hide it from your doctor. Its making the steroids illegal that has made them dangerous. You feel the need to hide it from your doctor and maybe not receive the correct care. Also its forced it to underground labs that take making money over making a quality product.
Also Arnold underwent heart surgery, something not everyone can afford. Just be smart and dont over abuse them and people will be much safer.

Hi all,
Firstly this article comes from Australia. I have had first hand knowledge of the way the Australian Government falsifies reports. One of the reasons I am here in Thailand.
Aspirin is one of the most commonly used drugs in the world and causes fatalities.
We can either go through life accepting risks, or do as the government says and allow them to determine everything for us. They are so much more intelligent than we are.
Lets just add the factors that cause early death, we can make them all illegal:
Cars. Pollution. Cigarettes, Alcohol, Obesity, Anti depressant meds. All illegal drugs, Childbirth, skydiving! etc!
We will all die, The thing is are you going to die happy knowing you did all you could during your life for yourself and your loved ones, or die a slow and miserable death because you were too scared to try anything!
I don't care if I have a heart attack trying to lift 300kgs or am shot by a jealous husband when I am 100. Quality of life, not quantity. I have spent years counselling alcoholics and addicts and watched most of them die! They did not have the ability to be honest with themselves nor the courage to face the pain of life.
Most of us face life's realities with great courage and resolution, decide what you are prepared to risk then live!
Good luck All,
John
Super interesting paper. A bit dense for me but will be very interesting to hear what you guys with more experience makes out it.

24 cases hardly make up an 'objective study'

Did anyone with the medical knowledge on these forums end up reading this and find a conclusion?
Thanks

Arnold had a heart valve operated on for a condition he was born with but undetected until later in life.
23 of the 24 cases, other drugs were involved. Plus I'm willing to bet these people weren't living the healthiest of lifestyles. Hence, the psycho-stimulants. So this article really is just confirming what we have been saying all along. Don't mess with other drugs and get regular medical screening. I bet if those guys had their checkups and regular physicals, some of that would've been caught early before they died.
And 24 deaths is not a cause for alarm. You guys know how many people world wide are using gear? Even if steroids were the actual cause, that's 24 deaths. Tylenol kills more people than that.
I hate reading these post, but I guess it the facts of steroid use, just curious of how many compounds were used, mg's, and other stuff is involved in these deaths, would def make it more interesting then blaming just steroid use
As for myself I blsst and cruise, but also follow proper protocol to donate my blood every 58 days and to get blood work done every 3-4 months to see where my levels are at, I know a lot of guys that juice around here dont, they dont ven know about ai's, pct ect, those are the guys that think just pinning juice is all u have to do to get big without any other pre cautions taken
It helps to be somewhat educated or do some research before steroid use, as I talk to some people in my gym for instance and they have absolutly no clue what there doing
