I read a study awhile back discussing the bioavailability of oral vs inhaled albuterol as I have family members who have asthma. The study compiled multiple other experiments that all supported the hypothesis that inhaled albuterol is more bio available and faster absorbed. My own opinion tends to think that inhaled substances would be absorbed faster but would spike higher and become processed faster where oral solutions should be slightly more gradual. That's just my best guess though.
This would probably make doing a "cycle" of albuterol easier with oral then? Or just taking a puff every 6 hours would work just as well..?
inhalers for asthma delivers the medicine directly onto the lung tissue, where it works directly to help widen airway. hence the dose needed is extremely low, compared to taking albut tabs for asthma. that's why each puff is only 100mcg(0.1mg), whereas each tab is usually 4mg.
the inhaler is more efficient in the treatment of asthma, but is useless if used for weight loss.

Some of the things I have read show that the inhaler of albuterol may be linked to COPD as a cause. I would not do any type of inhaler without a true medical need for one. Just IMO.
Big difference in dose.
