ar-r syringe question

I've noticed that when measuring a dosage with the ar-r syringe the liquid does not go all the way up to the measurement marking that I line up the stopper at. Instead there is a little space of air from where the liquid stops to the stopper. Is this to compensate for the part of the liquid that is at the very tip of the syringe or should i raise the stopper more until I see the liquid reach the measurement marking I am aiming for?

Liquid should be to the line you are looking to dose at.

Don't over think it....that air pocket is minuscule amount.

Well the air pocket is almost 20mcg and I feel that could be a rather large difference with some amounts used. I took a picture so you guys can get a visual. The stopper is right at 0.5 ml and the liquid stops just above the dot next to the pointed edge of the 4. I was thinking the air pocket is to compensate for the liquid that is below the zero mark on the syringe. If I want to use 0.5 ml would you set up the syringe like it is in the picture or raise it until the liquid actually reaches the mark? Thanks guys.

I usually push out the air before injection. I loose a little juice but its worth it. I don't have to aspirate.

Okay...i gotcha. Draw up to the mark you want with the liquid. Don't worry about the stopper.
