    Mental Health supplements

So we are living through a mental health pandemic at the moment; what are your go to supplements to improve your mental health/mood?

Always was and always will be

Other than that, I don’t know many supplements that will improve mood. A well balanced life with plenty of exercise, an hour of sunshine, and some over the counter VaginaXR is good for me.

For a while I tried over-the-counter substances like 5HTP. I came to the realisation though a few years ago that mind-altering drugs are for three things:
    (1) If you have an actual brain disease (e.g. brain tumor)
    (2) Severe injuries and surgeries (e.g. you've just had burns to 20% of your body so the ambulance crew arrive and give you ketamine)
    (2) To get yourself through an extremely stressful situation (e.g. the day you get a call at work to say that your entire family just died in a house fire)

Outside of these three situations, psychotropic substances in the long run just weaken your ability to regulate your own emotional state. I've been in the mindset before though.... I mean why bother regulating your own emotions when a joint/pill can do it for you.

Some people manage to go their entire life on a substance, e.g. cannabis, and I don't deny that these people can have a family, hold down a job, be happy and all that. There's lots of Christian pastors who drink a bottle of wine with their wife on Saturday night. What works for me though is tee total. Speaking from a background of extreme drug use, I also hold the opinion that the most hardcore and extreme thing a person can do is to live life sober.

In my early 20s. I once ate a handful of peyote buttons. And washed it down with a pint of Jim beam.

I wouldn't do it again for a million dollars.

I believe it took about 2 years to recover. I had flashbacks and shit for years.

No more psychedelic stuff for me for 20 years.

Then my son in law gave me se mushrooms. They were actually pretty cool. No lasting effects. Mild hallucinations only. Pretty mellow body high.

The forum rules forbid discussion of recreational drug use however I think it might be okay so long as we talk candidly and mention the consequences rather than get excited about what the experience was like.

I'm in my 30's and I've taken all kinds of drugs but ironically the kind of inner joy and and inner peace that a person seeks from taking stuff like MDMA and mushrooms isn't actually obtainable until they stop taking intoxicants altogether and then tolerate the mental suffering to be joyful.

Are you partial to any particular strains of weed?

Other advice is spot on & crystal clear.

Yes, as long as the discussion is focused on benefits/ experiences, then it is allowed to a degree. Just flat out recreational talk, or talk of hard drugs crosses the boundary of acceptable conversation.

Edit: It's a very fine line, so please don't wander into that territory. Y'all have a decent conversation going!!

I prefer avoiding chemical drugs (when it is possible, of course). But when the deficiency of Vitamin D was proved to be connected with the severity of Covid, I started taking it on a daily basis. Also, I use GoldBee CBD oil to boost my immune system. Also, it is great for pain relief and insomnia.

NOT, "a lot of times", but ALL THE TIME...

I prefer to count on, lean on myself...

    Oh yeah.... What he said...

"prefer avoiding chemical drugs..." > Joins steroid forum...

Like the BB who criticises eating at McD's, but liberally injects UGL AAS...

    Go figure...

As far as narcotics goes, I never used them to improve what could be termed mental health. In my case, I am way too far gone for that... I used purely to have a good time...

To add to the discussion: AAS + Viagra + blunt + willing gymnastic woman in possession of 3 open orifices, and absence of a gag reflex. This works for me...

At my old ass brain damaged age, I need to skip the blunt - I’ll just fall asleep

The rest are spot on + a hint of Cialis
