    Triple Crown

    I want to see California Chrome complete the Triple Crown for the first time since Affirmed did in back 1978. Anyone do any horse race betting?

    No. My uncle used to own several race horses in Canada when I was a kid and my grandparents and parents used to love the dog races in Florida. I don't follow horse racing BUT, I did see a commercial yesterday about California Chrome and the triple crown. Would be an impressive victory if it happens.

    For the sake of history, and the fact that he'll run the race regardless of what I think, I hope he wins.

    The last horse race I watched was years ago. The jockey of the horse in second place was pushing his horse to try and take first place. He pushed too far and the horse broke his leg. Euthanized right there on the track. No thanks, not for me. I don't want to support that.

    I used to bet here and there. Started to learn how to make smart pics..... Or atleast..... Not pick horses blindly.

    I am going to the OTB Saturday... But I don't think Chrome can pull it off for 2 reasons...

    1. He has almost been caught in the past 2 races. If the Preakness was another furlong or 2 longer, he would have lost.

    2. It is supposed to rain hard the next 2 days. He has never raced on a sloppy track.

    That being said, I would like to see him win.

    i dont bet on them usually

    but i sure am looking forward to it

    and like stated above the fact that ride on curlin was closing in made me have some worries on the long track but i will be surely rooting for CC
