Opinions on Arm Band Tattoo
Was thinking of going with a celtic band around my right bicep, and I wanted to get all of you opinions on arm band tats.
Is it played out? I have one on my chest and one on my back, and was either thinking of going band around the arm, or band around the ankle.
My arms are 18in cold, and chiseled, so I think it would be good.
Will it be badass, or will I be another one of those tools at the gym?

If you have to question the toolbag card, could be a little played out

If you really want a tattoo because you like it, you shouldn't care what anyone else thinks... if you aren't sure, don't get it!

No man, I say go for it. But make sure you also get a super man tatoo on the other arm and maybe a small tribal tatoo on your lower back to really be bad ass! Lol, j/k bro.

I'm searching for what to do as my next tattoo,
The two things that I am being careful about is that the tattoo be original, and that it has meaning to me.
The last thing that I want to do is see somebody else with the same tattoo

Kind of gay if you ask me. Tattoos are played out especially tribal ones, but I do like gangster tattoos.

The reason I ask is because I have mixed opinions on the arm tat. I have a professional job, so I could never go business casual with a short sleeve shirt again. I like the way it looks on some people, but don't know whether it would be for me.
If I got it, it would be original just like my other two.
As far as I'm concerned, my arms draw enough attention to themselves without something covering up any of my hard work.
I'm thinking I might go get a henna before making my decision in order to take the design on a test drive.
Thanks for your opinions guys.

Unique tattoos are very nice. The one I just recently got on my upper back I had the guy draw for me off of my description. It's really detailed and I get a lot of compliments on it.. also a lot of people staring. I can honestly care less who likes it or doesn't because it's what I wanted...
My lower back is tribal, he drew that for me a few years ago off my description also. He free-handed another one on my ankle, andfree handed most of the other ankle also.
Key is finding a good artist. I can't draw for my life but I know what I want. He was able to draw everything I wanted off of my description. Also, don't pick something off a wall. Get an idea maybe but don't use a design you may see on someone else (like Bigen said). Make sure it has some meaning to you before putting it on your body, it's there forever unless you try to have it removed. I have no regets, I love my ink!
About you last post, I work in a law office so I know what you mean but all of mine are where they are easily hidden or shown, which is why I have them where I do. I know a few attorneys with a lot of ink and you'd never know it.

Ive been going back and forth with the same thing. I really want an arm band. Swelled my head a bit when the female tat artist said "with the size of your arms its going to cost more." The statement was worth the extra $$..lol.

Just a heads up, I overheard this trainer at the gym who is openly gay say that supposedly where you wear your armband tattoo, left or right, dictates whether you are a receiver or giver.
I thought that was kind of funny.
But hey, I don't know if it is true so don't bark at me.

Keep the Tat on the upper arm or shoulder! That way if you should ever find yourself in the corporate world someday than business casual will work!

Where I work it would be a hindrance but I dont want one on the shoulder. Thats been my dilemma.
And your only gay if your receiving.

Daem - like was mentioned earlier, if you like it and it has meanig to you then who cares what others think about it. Just please make sure to get it ALL the WAY around your arm. Don't be one of these tools that can't take the pain on the back of the arm and it only goes 2/3 of the way around. Now that IS gay.

The design I think I am going to go with is this Latin phrase wrapped around:
Fortiter Fideliter Forsan Feliciter
Translation: Bravely, faithfully, perhaps successfully
The space between the words will be gapped, and it will have an intricate border around the text wrapping the entire arm.

I think I might get those 4 words I mentioned around the outside of the tat on my chest...that would make it even cooler and eliminate all the guessing I am doing about how the new one would look.
