my local club has a deal coming this week and it has to do with bodyfat testing .what they do is dip you into some fluid in some kind of comtraption that looks like a marijuana scale and then charge you 40 bucks and giv you some reading.my ques is ,is it worth it to dip or should i just go by my trusty old calipers what sit worth or do they analize anything more than bf%? peace

The test your talking about is one of the most acurate in calculating your true body fat %.

    I personally would do it.

Yes, I had it done at a football camp at Texas A&M...you climb into the chair and it determines how much you weigh in water, since fat floats. You have to blow all the air out of your lungs before you go under water and have to stay that way for 10 - 15 seconds...I would recommend it.

Yep underwater weighing is the second best BF% method. The only one better is dual X-ray Absorptometry. Water weighing is extremely accurate, with fewer assumptions than other methods.
