well i have been in trouble before for underage drinking. this time i missed formation and work call. a couple of buddies came to my room to get me and they said i was passed out and convulsing. i had some prescription pills in my possesion that didnt belong to me. when i got to the hospital they did a toxicolagy report on me and it came back negative for traces of any drug. i woke up 3 days later and dont recall a single event. they are putting me out for the theft of the pills( i dont even remember taking them) and taking illegal drugs( i dont remember doing any and my bloodscreen was clean). im just nervous that i will get back home and have nothing to do as far as supporting my wife and child. i cheched the local website for my hometown and they are hiring firefighters right now. just curious to see if they will hire ex military that were kicked out

Wait, what? You were convulsing on the floor?? WHY?? This sounds odd... did you check the labels at the hospital? Gotta read the labels!

trust me i know this is odd. there is no way i drank enough to black out and sleep for 3 days straight in the hospital. the drugs i was found with were anti anxiety pills so i thought i did take them but the doctor, my platoon sergeant/ first sergeant and commander all said my toxicology report was negative for the drug( or any other for that matter). im really not worried about this though. i just need to know if anybody else out there knows if i would be able to get a job with the fire dept???

Doesnt that go off your record after like two or three years? Not sure exactly but I know it goes off your record. As long as its not a dishonerable you should be alright. At least it wont haunt you the rest of your life. You should be able to get the jobs you want.

If its less than honorable discharge, expect to be blackballed.
I mean it may be overlooked, but it says something about ones character that most employers dont want to have.

just say you drank...and someone put something in it....you had a guy that was agrry with you...say whatever you want...get a copy of the TOXICOLOGY report...show them that...maybe it will help....
I do know...here in houston...they are very indepth...they even interview your neighbors pets...

Go in for an MRI, try to find what caused the seizures and 3 day coma.
Get a lawyer, jag might help but civilian lawyer would work best.
