Audioslave
What do you gusy think of this group? I'm really digging their first single "Cochise". For those who don't know the band is made up of the three remaining members of "Rage Against the Machine" and features the vocals of Chris Cornell who was the lead singer for "Soundgarden".
Also really dig the new song by "Queens of the Stone Age"

i downloaded the audioslave album, and it kicks major ass. of course ive only had a chance to hear it once. you can definitely tell its a cross between SG and RATM. interesting is that the combo seems to sound a lot like monster magnet. JMHO though

Pete, I am extremely proud of you. Your musical tastes are exemplary to say the least. I also deeply and passionately enjoy the mix of Rage and Chris Cornell. I think they took the best parts of both bands and meshed em together amazingly. I'm pondering buying the album even though my cd funds are about tapped. i just bought Queens of the Stone AGe, and let me tell you, it is the best in 10 year sI have heard. It reminds me of the early 90's stuff, only more refined and with more skill. It;s amazing stuff. "No One Knows" is a great song but there are at least 4-5 songs as good as it or better on the album. Seriously, I am listening to it all the time. I;ve also got to pick up the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Man i don't know what it is, but Chris Cornells voice gives me frickin headaches. I like their sound but that voice is like a ice pick in the ear.

Personally....
I loved soundgarden and was pissed off when i heard audioslaves new song. I truly thought it was crap...sorry.
But I have to say...there is not much good stuff out there so it wasnt too bad....considering it was inbetween two Eminem video....
God he sucks.
Peace

I just picked it up...
...eh, sorta disappointing. Just reminds me how much I miss the real rage. His voice/intensity doesn't compare.
