    Loss of skin pigmentation

I think it's called vitiligo, anyone have it and been able to reverse it? I read its possible with Corticosteroid creams or ointments.

Just learn to live with it. Have had it since I was a kid and tried several different treatments with no luck. There is some sort of herbs vitiligo oil or something like that. It's supposed to work but if you stop using it the vitiligo comes back. Oh and don't let it get sunburn that will make it worse.

Kind of what I was thinking. What about the cream you can get that takes away color from surrounding skin to camouflage it? It's on my nuts and hammer so it wouldn't really get sunburnt.

wow, you got to be careful what you apply there. skin-lightening cream can cause irritation. even steroidal creams may not be safe to apply there if the concentration is high. take care bro.

Isn't vitiligo an autoimmune disorder? I would be super careful in using creams or ointments. Maybe try to find a derm that specializes in it.

I guess I'll have to. I'm just a little hesitant to whip it out in front of a doc when I'm on this much test and cialis. Knowing me it could get really embarrassing.

Ohhh!! That will get the docs attention! Seriously though, I am sure the dr has been in more embarrassing situations and it's their job to stay professional. Not to worry you, but if you read a bit about vitiligo they are unsure if it spreads (in some cases it does). May as well have it checked out and treated to be on the safe side.

I just pinned some MT2 and thought about this thread.

So stimulating pineal gland, that produces melanin(pigment), won't do anything for your situation? I think MT2 basically stimulates melanin production. Not exactly sure how.

I'm sure it would have been tried by researches, so I guess it won't work, but wondering why it wouldn't help.

It doesn't spread in the same area as much as it pops up in other areas. Mostly joints and knuckle areas genitals and mouth and eyes. With me it started when I was just entering puberty and it gave me a complex. But after I realized girls never said anything like "What's wrong with you" and I realized that if spotted skin was all that was wrong with me I should be happy. I tried the laser, different creams, pills and tanning lights nothing worked not even a little bit. Some of my older spots on my legs and arms have gotten smaller over time(decades) as for the MT2 ill ask my derm on next visit. I think he would have mentioned it though. I was in an experiment group for the laser therapy and only lasered one spot and took measurements. I did this for a few months and there was no improvement. If there was a cure I'm sure Michael Jackson would have pioneered its development. Don't worry about it too much there's some studies that say stress makes it worse
