Anyway, reading the original post in this thread, I could not help but think of an Oscar Awards telecast back in the mid 1970's. Streaking was a fad then, and sure enough, someone actually streaked the Oscars. (If anyone doesn't know what streaking is, ask your parents.)

At the time, the late, great actor David Niven was on stage. Niven, always a class act, delivered the perfect line without missing a beat. A moment after this naked guy ran across the stage behind him, he said, "You know, it's a shame that man has to strip down like that . . . to show us his shortcomings."

So I congratulate you, Big Red. If you have tried to make an impression here, you have certainly succeeded. I'm sure that everyone will remember the particular brand of eloquence you have exhibited here today.

But for what it's worth, dude, if you were to apologize for your latest gaffe without adding any more, um, embellishments, you would find that we're quite forgiving. We realize that everyone has an occasion when they act off the wall. We don't accept that, but we do forgive it. So, my 18-year old newbie, it's time to grow up, get real, kiss a little butt, and apoloigize without being a bigger jackass than you were at the beginning of this thread. Hell, it may even help make a real man out of you. And who knows? You may find out that we don't bite.

Otherwise, I can think of a few boards where you'll feel right at home. But this ain't the one, sport.

(P.S. By the way, I rarely address someone as "dude" or "sport." In the AS community, we usually say "bro." Here's hoping I won't feel compelled to call you anything else again.)
